to be honest though I think I'm biased by the fact that I'm a habs fan having witnessed the leafs' failures for many years in a row in the playoffs now, more than mr.peanut's avatar lol.

oh that wasn't what I was trying to imply, I'm just not 100% convinced Matthews has everything it takes attitude-wise to be a great leader. but perhaps now that he's captain things will change, if anyone can demand more effort from his teammates it would be him, as he's literally one of the best goal scorers in the league, during the regular season at least.

Exactly. Every team that wins has at least one guy like Evan Rodrigues who gets hot for a couple rounds at minimum.

the leafs have enough skill players to really make match-ups tough for the opposing coach.
