I've heard a couple of teams are testing the waters on their goaltenders this week.

Perhaps due to the Askarov update, perhaps not. But it sounds like the secondary goalie market is getting a bit more saturated.

But what about the core?! The CORE!

Yup.

His numbers aren’t great but perhaps there are mitigating factors. I don’t watch AHL hockey. Interesting and it could make some sense if come to the conclusion that Demko will never be capable of putting in a starters workload. Wouldn’t be surprised if they add a vet and Demko starts on regular IR.


Personally, I think we need to assume Demko isn’t a long term solution
