Anyway, I just heard the Flyers preview from the guys on Sirius/XM NHL Network and they seem completely on board with what the Flyers are doing. It's like night and day from what is preached on here daily. Of course, they are projecting for all 32 teams and Boomer questioned how they will become a true Cup contender without A+ talent (hoping Michkov can be one of them). Jake's main concern about them not making/making the playoffs was his worry about the goalie situation which is certainly a big IF. Their save pct. was 31st in the league last year and that ain't gonna cut it! I didn't realize that they only won 9 of their last 28 games last season. Ouch! What a collapse.

In the GM ratings last week Briere got a B+. I agree he’s done some ok things and seems to be able to distance himself from the things that have gone wrong. Their plan needs things to break their way. A lot of things. Like Jonesy said….they are threading a needle.

Yeah, I think they are probably being a bit too optimistic (I was actually shocked when I heard that they gave him a B+). I think they both like the Flyers. Boomer because he thinks that the league is just better when the Flyers are in the mix and I think Jake is marrying into the family of someone that is in the Flyers organization if I'm not mistaken. Boomer compares the Flyers to the Oakland Raiders. I'd probably give Danny a C- for this off season up to this point cause I really haven't been impressed to be honest.

Washington didnt improve IMO. Every team Chychrun has been on has been a mess and hes alway held a top position on those teams. I dont think Dubois will help them either. Theres a reason LA dumped him after just 1 year. Thirs team to give up on him. Ovi is also 39 years old this season.

Detroit did not improve

Isles are Average, didnt improve. Only improvement they can see is from Sorokin not being bad again

Not sure Buffalo got better. Could go either way Skinner was still a big scorer for them. A lot rides on guys like Quinn, Peterka and Benson

Who knows what will happen with Ottawa. D and G looks improved but weak on forward with Giroux and Perron leading your 2nd line in their late 30s.

Flyers will have every chance to make the playoffs this year sd they are. Young players possibly taking more steps further, Michkov potentially being a good NHL player off the bat, hes a fav for the calder right now.

As long as Ersson and Fedotov hold up they will be in a good spot to make the playoffs. Even if Drysdale cant stay healthy which I think he can do.

Yeah, I don’t see her support of a blue candidate changing anything. Her fanbase is young. They tend to be bleeding hearts as it is.

I suppose she could act as a whip just to get people in the booths, but I don’t think she’s swaying any opinions.

The people are just so divided anyway. I can’t see any celebrities making a difference regardless of their stance, and we’re chock full of idiots who listen to famous musicians and actors.

RFK Jr., on the other hand, might have a slight impact. He’s at least a political voice with a fair amount of centrist supporters.
