I sat near Connor and his fiance at a casual Sunday brunch. Everyone froze when they walked in. Then ignored him and kept eating. One father came up for a photo with his son. 45 minute meal. Right in the open. Took one photo. Then walked out the front door.

You're forgetting the McDavid factor. Why would either of them want to split up? They have great chemistry on the ice and are good friends off the ice. I'm sure the 2 of them have discussed their futures.

Expect an 8 year deal before the season starts with McD following soon after.
