This argument reminds me of all the daily arguments on this board.

Frost does and has been playing the right way. That's what the data shows.

I'll say the same thing to you again. Frost had a solid season in 22/23. Led the team in scoring for a 50 game stretch. Then in the 23/24 season, after two games. Tortorella scratched Frost a significant number of games. That is not reasonable and shows a clear and unprofessional bias towards the player. That is not being given a legit opportunity.

I agree - Frost brings it!! He was awesome the last 20 games of the past season when he was getting more ice time.

What of the reports at the presser says Michkov’s English has jumped exponentially.

Great news!

It’s easy to believe. This guy seems like an NHL version of Jerry Rice, live and practice to the fullest, then you play your best. I’m not saying he's an all time great like Jerry Rive, but he always did everything to the fullest. Given everything we’ve read about MM39, there every reason to expect him the be speaking English rather quickly.

Frost has one big problem: the coach doesn’t seem to like him or trust him. Gotta admire Frost for his perseverance. I’m a fan and I hope he takes a step forward and perhaps becomes a solid center for MM39

well, he has plenty of down time to learn the language. it would behoove him to learn it. glad he has the willingness as some don't

really cracks me up how Japanese MLB players who have been in the league for years still have an interpreter.

So, it's official that this Kolosov (don't care if it's spelled right) turd wanted a guaranteed spot in the NHL. It's amazing how these youngsters today are so self entitled and expected to be handed everything. What's up with that? Just can't wrap my head around the fact that these folks think that they don't need to prove themselves and EARN something! Bye bye unloved one!

Of course, with the Flyers luck Fedotov will absolutely suck and this kid will turn out to be the next Ken Dryden!

So Frost was scratched cause he didn't take advantage of the opportunities given to him and TK wasn't scratched cause he took advantage of the opportunities given to him? Torts just wants Frost to play the right way. What's the harm in that?
- Phillywhiteout

Actually Briere mentioned in his presser that Frost, because of his contract, was behind in training camp and was playing catch up throughout the camp and pre-season and that impacted his start of the season. But Briere also mentioned that once Frost got back into the lineup he was fine for most of the season.

And I believe this was the same gripe Gauthier had, i.e. he wanted a guaranteed spot on the Flyers and it just does not work that way. Same with McGroarty with Winnipeg. There are no guaranteed spots .. spots must be earned and I am happy Briere is sticking to his guns.

Not sure Frost and Michkov will make sense since both are play makers. I didn't realize that with Michkov until I watched him in the rookie game. If they are to play together, one or the other is going to have to change their mentality and shoot the puck more.

Frost signed his contract on September 7th, 2023 and did not miss any of training camp. What are you talking about?

The Flyers should've have given Tippet a spot in the lineup in March of 23. They blew it.

As far as Kolosov, both parties are probably in the wrong. Which one more than the other? Don't know.

Kolosov comes over and the Ivan was signed a few days later. Did they tell Kolosov that? Was he promised anything? Maybe he feels slighted or lied too.

I also think at this time Kolosov is acting like a pussbox and should come over and let his play dictate where he ends up.

Try learning Japanese. It ain’t easy. I don’t know how some guys seem to be able to pick it up so quickly. I know I’d have a really tough time learning a new language.

You mean Gauthier. Screw him! Who the hell is he to call the shots? He is not in the same air as a Bedard or Michkov. Just shut the hell up and play when and where we tell you, and just be happy you are playing. I'm at the end of my rope with these entitled players.

That is really hitting below the belt ... how could you??

Unless a player is in the air of a Bedard or Michkov, there are no guaranteed spots for a player that at the time had not even played 1 pro game. The kid is and was full of himself.

Columbus is desperate for forwards, they are willing to do trades. Who can the Flyers dump on them?
