In other big financial news, sale of house finalized this morning. Got the offer after 5 days on market and had to wait till yesterday for house inspection. Time to buy my Pavel Bure jersey.

I think there is a 100% chance the Leafs deal Jarnkrok or Kampf.

I think it will be Jarnkrok.

I struggle to see where he fits other than 4th line wing but they already have Dewar who is a cheaper version of him with less offence.

Berube wants an "identity line" and thats a vague description but I don't think he is a fit there. He has average speed, doesn't get involved physically, ect.

He is reliable and has a good shot, he has no identity whatsoever.

- Santo_44

I think it might be both...Neither really fit the Identity line mold

I agree they are doing it the right way.

I just thin they have made some stupid signings and haven't given Bedard anyone legit to play with.

- Santo_44

If Taylor Swift could stay healthy, he was/is a decent player to work with.

As suspected, Marner tells media he's not answering question about his contract .....media proceeds to not ask him about his contract.
Well done.
Same as Willie and Matthews before.

Media in Toronto are so tough.

JT saying he wants to stay with a Leaf long term.
- Zezel

So did McDavid (about Edmonton) and we ALL know that's a big fat lie

Jarnkrok can play up and down the line up, he's good to have.
The 3rd line identity line would be great if it had Tavares as their center (if Willie stays as 2nd line center).
I prefer Jarnnie to stay as he is better value and has better stats for $2.1m per but I believe Tre extended Kampf, so it may be Jarnnie who could be out.

I think McD extends this summer depending on how the oilers do.

Other than Bedard I think Chicagos rebuild has been pretty bad
- Santo_44

Its still early.
It looks like they have their top line center and some nice young pieces.
Their rebuild isnt done yet.
At least this year Bedard will have someone to play with

Meh he’s been awful every playoffs.

Kampf has provided some value.

Plus I take the C all day. He’s also younger, less likely to decline.

And stays healthy.

To me it’s easy, and might be a CBJ in a week or 2.

Meh, the whole team has been awful most playoffs.
Jarmy has provided value, specially at $2.1 per.
Kampf is meh but has a more specific type of role.
Also tre extended him, so im sure he will stay for now.
Ya ive seen the same twitter chat of peeps offering jarny to cbus as well.

We'll see. It looks like some cap has to be moved out and tre will most likely wait to the last minute like last season - end of preseason-ish.

Considering the leafs only have 3 justified NHL C’s it’s a pretty damn safe bet Kampf isn’t going anywhere. Coupled with the fact is on the primary PK.

Some people think NHL offence is a must. No, it’s not, there are multiple tasks to complete in every game and most of them are not offence, especially for the leafs with the powerhouse offensive players they have.

Matthews, Marner, Nylander, JT, Rielly, and OEL are a pretty damn strong offensive core. Then you got Knies, Domi, Robertson, McMann, and Liljegren as secondary scoring. Sure it would be nice to see more production from the others but it hasn’t been their primary roles (under Berube that may change of course).

Agreed.
Until the playoffs.

But ya, as I mentioned I dont see kampf going anywhere.

I could see Tre doing another lafferty deal.....dumping a winger for anything mid to later preseason just to move the cap

Yup, until proven otherwise the leafs only have Matthews, JT, and Kampf in that position, and by “only” I mean the overall number not the talent lol. Nylander there as well would be interesting, and as others had mentioned Marner as well I suppose.

Do I see either of them being talented enough? Yeah… but are they the front of net, physical guys that are necessary? Unsure…do we want to see either of them facing the more dense D from the opposition? Unsure, not really tbh…them having the more open ice of a winger could be a notable little advantage with their personal games… new coach… looking forward to seeing some new styles

New coach, new minimum wage players, new accessories, new pucks, don’t matter! Same results. After over 50 years watching this crap, I’ve purchased two new Utah jerseys. Won’t be supporting the Leafs financially until that little female dog is gone. His Presser this AM is exactly why he’s a cancer on the organization. Shanahan as well. Giving AM34 the C was the 1st good move but too little too late. You guys keep pumping there tires for the next 80+ games.

I think if you look at Nylander's heat maps, a good majority of his goals come from the net front area.
