Indeed it does, but I live in the South Trumpistan Libertarian Republic where my right to shoot looters is protected.

A band of roving drag queens and Venezuelan special forces tried to enter our neighborhood this morning. I laid down a withering fusillade of automatic fires that pinned them down right in the middle of the kill zone while my neighbor used his drone to drop grenades on the survivors.

Turned the dogs loose on them after that. We're gonna leave the corpses out at the entrance to our street as a warning.

We're OK. Power is back on. No house damage. The yard is a wreck. Internet service is still out.

There was a lot of flooding last night. Clearwater beach is closed off. A lot of people closer to the coast had to be rescued from rising flood waters. Some people struggle to understand basic math and physics, so they ignored mandatory evacuation orders.

- GalacticStone

20 foot surge + you = death.

Or perhaps that should be:

20 foot surge - you = death.

I'm glad to hear you are OK.

Many of Tampa's professional athletes live on low-lying Davis Island. Lightning, Rays, and Bucs all got about 4-5 feet of water in their homes last night. Kucherov's garage gym is a loss.

Tampa is weird and assbackwards. The rich live on the low swamp ground and the poor live on the surrounding high ground.

Honestly, if you ignore evac orders and you become in need of emergency services, you should be dropped down to the very last on the list of priorities.

That actually works out well. The rich can get flooded and damaged as they can afford repairs while those who arent as rich are more protected.

Roberston making sure he gets more icetime by pushing Nylander into Dvorak shows how much he wants this.

From the NYT:

"Early indications from Florida’s Big Bend coast were of catastrophic damage to small, marshy villages like Cedar Key, which sits on a series of islands jutting into the Gulf of Mexico. “It looks like a nuclear bomb went off,” said Michael Bobbitt, a novelist and playwright who lives in the heart of the island community. The worst of the flooding appeared to be in the Tampa Bay area."

There's some crazy photos and videos of the damage and flooding.

I find it weird that Robertson would go after Nylander like that.

Wouldn't Reaves in the lineup prevent that sort of deliberate attempt to injure?

My small chuckle for a Friday morning:

I googled "Tampa Bay damage" - and apparently that's the name of a professional paint ball team.

Yes, I realize this poses many more questions...

That’s probably enough to put Kuch on LTIR until playoffs

Yeah, those ballers, doctors, and ambulance -chasing attorneys have good insurance.

Speaking of which, this is going to cause the insurance rates to skyrocket, and they were already high. The insurance industry might decide to leave once it tallies up the cost on this.

The Lightning's insurance adjusters assured the league that the garage could not be rebuilt until mid-April, and Bettman said that was fine - no independent insurance adjuster opinion required.

It's ok, Leafs showed team toughness when Domi crosschecked Lane Hutson on the head for absolutely no reason.

Truly sent a message to the Habs "C" team for the rest of the season.

I've already bought tickets for the first Cincinnati Cyclones - Trois-Rivieres Lions game.

It's going to be a bloodbath.

One of their players, Keith Brown, used to play for the Edmonton Impact. Heck of a player.

I haven't seen it discussed much here, but who is at fault? Robertson, or Nylanflopder?
