Zegras is not the answer IMO. Needs to be an established winner like an Eichel or Reinhart

So glad we used all those draft picks on players we aren't using. Maybe should have made a trade awhile ago.

Really, after following this team since 1970, there seems to be no sense of urgency. If you cannot see it, then watch and pay for mediocre hockey until you die. They make some Swedish kid the captain of the team? Really? They hire a coach they fired 10+ years ago thinking now he will be better? Really? Enough of making excuses for the team. They have had over a decade to acquire good draft picks and players and still it is a mediocre team going nowhere fast. How can you stomach this?

My comment directed at "its our talent level is the underlying problem", work ethic is no going to fix that. There are a lot of AHL players that work very hard and play with a sense of urgency but get steam rolled by NHL skill/talent. I don't believe for last few years that the Leafs have been playing with a sense of urgency but they haven't had an issue beating most of the hard working less skilled teams. Of course they have faltered in the playoffs when its against very skilled teams that are hard to play against.

It will take admitting this team is not working and part with a “premium asset” to acquire an elite scorer.
That’s where the hard reality has to set in with GMKA or he needs to go. We might have to trade a Cozens, Quinn, Tuch, Tage, Samuelsson, Benson, Quinn, Levi to acquire an elite goal scorer

Unless there is an issue with the elite scorer, its likely they want an elite defenseman in return (similar to Mitts for Byram). Now if a deal for an Elhers type of player, soon to be a UFA, then maybe a package of our not elite forwards/prospects would work.

Except that why would said other team be trading Reinhart or Eichel, did they do something to make them disgruntled? I thought that was a Sabres thing

Z is by far our most imaginative and offensively skilled player, but for some reason, Cronin and Verbeek have got a hard on for him because evidently he doesn’t block enough shots…😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if they called and asked for Greenway😬😬😬😬 he’s their kind of guy.

tage scored our only goal today and cozens had 7 shots on goal yesterday

I think those were our best players in the 2 games

dahlin, tuch, quinn have been brutal

- homiedclown

You have really lowered expectations lol

7 million dollar player had shots on net = he played a good game.

If greenway did that. I would consider that a good game. Not a guy getting paid 7 mill to put up points

None of the wingers that were on the market (if they really were even on the market) got traded.

Besides Laine
