Anyone can try to play with grit just like anyone can try to fight (while not being good at it). Its a skill/talent to play a good gritty game. If you don't have that skill and try to force it into your game then the better parts of your game will often get lost (i.e., you become one of those guys going out of your way to check someone and the other team takes advantage of you being out of position). Did Satan play with grit?

I would love some players on this team that are skilled and play with grit, just don't think we have much of that talent on this team right now. I would also like a Garret Hathaway on this team to address players like Dillon.

Where's the Heart! I would trade one of Tage or Tuch to wake these F@ckers up. There's no sense of urgency at all in there game.

After watching the Devils, I think they are a team that will make alot teams look like they have no sense of urgency. The Devils are fast and on you the whole game (they are like a swarm of bees).

My concerns is that Tage had one spectacular year and the real Tage is not a 1st line center. If this is the case, we better start making trades and hope to find one otherwise we are back to square one when we torn down the team to tank for either McDavid or Eichel?

You maybe right. At the moment I just don't like our first line of JJ-Tage-Tuch, would rather have kept skinner on top line because I like the JJ-Cozen-Quinn line.

I would love to package of Sammy + one of Krebs/Greenway/Zucker + Rosen for Zegras but would Ducks take that? probably not

Which elite C prospect? Cutter Gauthier was traded for Jamie Drysdale, that type of prospect? Do we trust the Sabres in identifying elite prospects, I think they better go after a young NHL player that's trending elite.

But they are playing a devils team that looks amazing and trying to learn a system nearly the entire devils team is very familiar with.

Other observations from the weekend… Byram looks like our best defenseman so far…. I hope that it’s just the joker curse and Lindy swaps dahlins partner

I also like Byram. I wonder what Power will be, I'm not very high on him but he often surprises me with his offense. With that said, Power is probably our biggest trade chip for maybe landing a very good 1st line center (just not sure who could possibly be available).
