Vegas picks him up, but they try to send him to the AHL the next day.

somebody said, RDS comment so dont hold your breath, the first time around there was other claims so that mean they needed to keep him in the nhl or he goes back to waiver if sent to the AHL, this time they appear to be the only suitor so no waiver for him to go in the AHL ?

If I understand correctly, Vegas has to either keep him in the NHL or waive him with the risk of the Oilers claiming him back and THEN they can send him to the AHL without going through waivers.

Seeing some of these posts are making me chuckle. Already talking about dumping Primeau after one game and praising Monty like he's the second coming. Relax is all i gotta say.

I don't think either of these guys are the future once Fowler and Dobes eventually come up. Not to mention this team isn't expected to be in the playoffs again this year. On a different note, haven't been overly impressed so far with that top line. Partly because of lack of play time I'm sure but also a slow start out the gates for Suzuki & Slaf. CC is what he is, small dude that can score in bunches but easily separated from the puck. In the end, its two games....
