Tanger often looks to make the fancy/difficult play instead of the safe one. Having 2 of your 3 forwards at the red line while under pressure doesn't help though.

Mike Sullivan being fired is unlikely to make a difference. These players play how they play. At this point in their careers, they arent changing. A new coach coming in would likely just lead to more problems.

I dont think Sullivan has the answers, but I dont think many coaches would.

This is true, and it's been reported by multiple people that they don't want to play for another coach.

I'm not going to judge this team on the first game of the season. I think they'll settle in and be more competitive, but it was a little alarming how bad they looked against a young, fast team. Last year they struggled against those types of teams pretty badly.

Ugly one last night all around. Even a steady guy like Pettersson was pretty bad.

One game don't overreact is true, but so is most of us didn't think this team is very good. When you got 4M players on your fourth line and third pair, you can only expect so much.

But hockey is back so I'm happy regardless. Frustrating to watch last night though.

I don't believe for a second a coaching change wouldn't make a difference.

Do they want to be comfortable or win? A bunch of losses gets uncomfortable pretty quick.
