I'm sorry if I missed it but do we know for sure that Torts put a mandate on having Jett make the team? I admit I didn't follow much of the pre-season so I am sorry if I missed something. Most on here whine about how Torts relies on the vets....we have a pretty young team and the complaints keep rolling in.

I don’t hate Torts. If I notice a questionable decision, I’ll say how I feel. Personally I don’t think it matters where Luchanko plays in October but to make myself very clear, Luchanko really shouldn’t be here at all. I think he’s here because Torts doesn’t have a lot of faith in his other centers.

Now as far as fans go, they’re spinning narratives and looking too hard for problems. Luchanko sitting in game 2 for Cates isn’t a real problem, especially for a kid who has been playing hockey all summer.

This isnt anything new. Anaheim did the same thing with Carlsson last season. He played 1 of ever 3 games for the 1st half of the season. It is a lot for any rookie player to play a fuill 82 game schedule. That is why many rookies hit a wall half way through the season. Flyers also get to delay the decision to send him back as well. I dont know that they will send him back

That may be true, but why would Torts who we all know loves his vets, want an 18 year old in the lineup? I'm no expert but I think it's more of a PR stunt by management. They care about selling tickets, merch, etc. It looks good to say we have our big draft pick in the lineup.
