Not only has Jarry failed to outplay Blomqvist through four games, but it looks like there might be a bit of “the team plays differently for Goalie B” effect at play here. We’ve just looked so much worse against the Rangers and Habs than we did against the Wings and Leafs.

1st period was almost all Pens. Habs have definitely been the better team in the 2nd. I do think Bloom has been better than Jarry though.

Pens with some horrible turnovers in that period. Just a sloppy mess.

Had practice tonight, just caught up to live. Fun game to watch so far. Each team has carried the play for some of it, chippy at times.

I think Jarry has been ruined by facing our guys in practice. He looked like he wasn't expecting the wide open guy to shoot the puck on that first one; he was playing the backdoor pass.

He might be slower than Carter...2 goals in 4 games so far, though..

Rust should maybe sit some. Maybe he needs to get healthier, and if he is 100% then his head still needs some time.

Anyways, never in doubt

He was looking great in pre season then got injured. I say just let him get his reps in. He'll come around.

He looks stronger and faster than last year. He was snakebit early last year and it seemed to snowball.

Great win.

Time to move Beau down. I guess DOC goes up since we don't really have any other good options.

Jarry had a solid game towards the end when the Habs were pushing. Geno’s line looks like it’s going to be a force all year if this is the Rakell we get. Once Bunting gets rolling that line will be hell to play against.

I dunno man I liked the DOC-Eller-JP line tonight. JP looked good and Eller has been solid. If Sid and Rust can get going; I don’t think Beau has been terrible. Hes been pretty good in the forecheck.

Rakell revenge tour is desperately needed. So far so good from him.

Not often we put up 6 and Crosby is involved in none of them.

Yeah don’t mess with doc eller jp line.

1LW was a glaring hole all offseason and it was ignored. Just leave beau there unless ur giving McGroarty a look. Hayes has the shot to finish but is way too slow.

That's a really good sign. 3rd and 4th lines are much improved.

The common denominator seems to be Eller and JP. They were good the first two games with McGroarty, people that watched the Leafs game seem to think the line was flat with JO scratched, and now they’re good again with JO back. Who plays LW doesn’t seem to be a huge deal

Beau was been decent, but he's just not a top-line player. The top line was bad tonight and really needs to get going. DOC-Sid-Rust worked well last year.

Eller+JP have looked good no matter who you put with them. No doubt that line with DOC is a really good line -- but we need to put somebody at 1LW.

Idk, there don't seem to be any better options to me then moving DOC up to 1LW.
