Apparently he had some leg issue and that's why he only played 60% of snaps. Just wait until he's getting throws by Mahomes and he'll look just fine.

Someone posted the stats for his speed and burst and it was significantly lower than last year.

I think it’s a combination of that Achilles probably needing some time to get up to game usage and also a little bit of playing not to get hurt.

I see a star, 4 busts, one too early to tell. Beck is bad. If he was traded for a 5th rounder, I wouldn’t care. It was a terrible move. He’s fast. That’s it. Bad advanced metrics. The one thing he was supposedly good at being on the PK is still below average. In short, trading a second rounder should net a better player than Beck. Period. End of discussion.

Who on the Sabres current NHL roster would you trade to get a 2nd rd pick in return? I'm guessing we would only want to part with 4th liners or 3rd pair guys (Beck, Laff, NAK, Clifton, Sammy) but other teams should give us better players?

I was wrong on casting out Greenway. Lindy provided him a role, Adams gave him players to thrive with, and he's at max output. Good on him. And good on that line.

I don't want picks, helps this franchise zero. But in the scenario, I guess Krebs or Lafferty.

I'd hope for more from Samuelsson. But his play should get better.

We all demand prospects and picks be traded for NHL help, but when Savoie is traded for a 3rd line center rather than McDavid and a 2nd round pick is used for 4th liner Beck (rather than drafting Ramus Asplund 2.0), everyone b!tches about trading such great assets for crap players. I guess we should have offered Zemgus 5 mil to play 4th line and kept that 2nd pick that we loss in the Beck trade (then we be a much better team than we are now). I'm not sure why we think our crap is so valuable that other teams should be giving us their best players for it?

I agree, and we don't need picks. The question was asked because some feel a 2nd round pick should get us a significantly better player than Beck, which I do not believe is true. Thanks for confirming that I'm not out of my mind (at least on this point).

There are trades every year where good players are acquired for picks or prospects. The fact that we can't seem to do that with any consistency is the puzzling part.
