Lafferty and Quinn come out. Not Kulich or Benny. - DirtyDan
I don't see Quinn sitting for any significant stretch.

If NAK and Benson are back, does he dress Saturday? - Lunaion
Take Malenstyn or Lafferty out, move Quinn down a line or even two to send the message. Winning?
But the answer is no, I don't see Lindy doing it. |

And Kevyn's point was the need was on the 4th.
Thanks for playing.
Goodness, too much internet ink continues to be wasted on this subject.
Let's focus on Cozens, Quinn, etc.
Beck is playing his part just fine. - IonSabres
Thanks uncle Ion, I’ve changed my mind. Beck is now the superior 4th liner we all needed |

I could see him sending a message for a game or two, but they need to get Quinn going and I don't see Lindy going the doghouse route this early. For that matter, he could send the whole 2nd line a message and bump Krebs up. Coming off a couple wins, I don't see it.

I think kulich keeps with the big club.
He may rotate out when benson is “healthy “
Pecking order
Benson
Kulich/ Nak

I think we should see what a line of McLeod centering cozens and kulich looks like.
McLeod has shown he can skate 2nd line minutes and his speed and defense might open it up and calm the other two down |

just bump up mcleod's ice time with zucker and kulich, zucker is faster than cozens
then play greenway with cozens and quinn/krebs/benson |

Why is that? I was thinking he would come out and maybe that line starts rotating who's not playing well till they start actually producing.
I don't see Kulich going down. It makes no sense at this point.

Utah just lost two defensemen for 4-6 months.
Is there any forwards there we could snag for a defenseman?
Maybe we package a D and Quinn + for Keller - Shadman306
Keller was just named captain a month ago |

make kulich-mcleod-zucker the new 2nd line
greenway-krebs-whoever stands out as the third for the third line |

Quinn has produced in the NHL, Kulich hasn't. Gives him more rope.

This is a line id like to see. The back pass McLeod made to Greenway for a great chance was awesome
As good as Greenway has been this year if McLeod can create that type of space and make that kind of pass, I want it to be on a shooters stick |

I tend to agree here, but Quinn is making it hard on himself
Kulich needs to stay imo i hope he does |

It's strange to me that people are jumping on Cozens + Quinn and advocating so strongly for Kulich. Benson/Cozens/Quinn was a good line for them last year and hasn't been together and healthy yet this season. I'd give them that opportunity before doing anything big.
I'm open to the idea that coaches watching the tape and their analytics see things differently, but these are the basic public numbers:
xGF%
Benson 58.2
Quinn 49
Cozens 46.3
Kulich 41.1

It’s reasonable to think the vet (Quinn) has an advantage over the rookie (kulich).
I’m thinking Lindy is new and owes Quinn nothing when it comes to ice time. He already healthy scratched him once.
Naked eye makes Quinn look very slow for some reason , probably something management has noticed imo

When did they stop emphasizing to young hockey players to keep their heads up? Oh, and don’t reach for pucks in traffic.
Hope the kid is alright, he really got rocked. |

It is nice to trust Lindy with these decisions (who embraces analytics), instead of Donnie (who hated analytics).

You are welcome.
Anytime I can help, I am happy to.
You may wish to look on NST in the Individual Player and do a teammate at 5v5, with/without contrast.
Lafferty is killing that lines performance, Beck is holding his own.
Will be interesting to see a couple of games with NAK replacing Lafferty on that line.

Getting Cozens going needs to be priority 1.
We can’t have an inept second line and PP.
move Krebs to his line maybe? He’s been good. I agree with the ones that have said don’t mess with the 3rd line. |

Good point here too. It is typical for coaches to run it back after wins. Do think Krebs has earned some more minutes though, that's why I could see him dropping Quinn down a line and putting Krebs or Greenway in his place. |
