I'm not an NHL coach and I know know the limitations of most of these guys. A guy that's been coaching for well over a decade and won a Stanley cup isn't going to sweat this roster

This is basically the same lineup as last year, there is no logical reason why Torts doesn't know who can play with who. It's not like he's giving the players any time, he's changing it up after a couple shifts, not games.

Just like last year when the team fell apart, Torts is now moving Poehling up in the lineup. No one is dumb enough to think Poehling's career trajectory is magically going to change and become a top 6 player.

Maybe just Maybe...the plan is to tank the team by using incompetence as a reason.

If I were in Danny's shoes, I would use that as a perfect pivot point. Completely cut Tortorella out. Say we are not going in the direction we want, admit some things were done in error and try to correct some things. I think you could make it work if you did it that way.

Quick question. Konecny's NMC only kicks in next season,correct?

Would it be wrong to see if you could move him? Think of Colorado. They might not or never really get Landekog back.

Laughton has this year and next so might be perfect to move him if he has a strong season.

Really i would be good to move whoever as long as it helped me in the future and moved money and term off the team.

Only way the move Konecny is if they feel the wingers are strong enough to move forward without him and if there is something too good to pass up coming back like a #1 C. I dont see it being a during the season move either. Thise would be an offseason move

I think you admit some things didn't work. People can take that over trying to sell them something they can clearly see is not the truth.

Look, not everything is terrible. You got Michkov over. Luchenko looks like he could be a player. you have 3 picks this year in the first round and 3 2nds this year. Maybe you pick up more players via the TDL or in trades that are not just picks but young roster players.

I'm just joshin. It rhymed and that excited me. His stats look okay although he certainly struggles to get the puck out of the zone sometimes and he needs to stop acting like NAK when it comes to taking dumb penalties.

Yep.

I would play him. He has one more year left after this year. Just maybe he plays well enough a team wants him at the TDL. Retain some money and move him out.

If not then next year just send him to LHV for the year.

This team has some guys signed that there was never a reason to have signed long term. They need to do what they have to to move some of these deals.
