Oh, I must be confusing him with someone else or someone fed me some bad info. Or that one penalty was a bad one at a critical time of the game. My first part was correct based on what I have seen this year which admittedly hasn't been a ton of action.

Why's that? Okay, I'll answer my own question. You think the Trumpster is gonna win. The fact is that I'm already disappointed cause once again I'm not all that enamored with either candidate. I have to vote against someone instead of voting for someone and that sucks.

I get that point. And i get that feeling too but then I think if this team is playing horribly and look awful, how can you justify the move to keep him around, even if upstairs.

If I were in Danny's shoes, I would use that as a perfect pivot point. Completely cut Tortorella out. Say we are not going in the direction we want, admit some things were done in error and try to correct some things. I think you could make it work if you did it that way.

Can this team be properly evaluated with Torts as coach? I don't think it would be about making the team better this year, it would be about getting a head start on talent and roster evaluation.

It's all moot anyway, I can't fathom any situation which would separate Torts from the franchise, at best he may be kicked up stairs in which case he will hand pick his replacement. The Flyers have created a monster in Torts, he, not DB or Jonesy is seen as the face of the franchise. The savior who is bringing back old time hockey, the lunch pail work ethic, (insert cliche here).

DB is the team valet, picking up players at the airport, carrying their luggage and validating parking. Jonesy is the used car salesman.

Torts is the Flyers to the fans and they have been told he works in mysterious ways and to trust him.

It's a complete cluster you know what. Hiring Tortorella and letting him get his clutches on this team is one of the worst decisions ever made by this organization. He is a used car salesman with the trunk full of snake oil.
