And yet you being the self admitted genius can't figure out a simple concept such as an average skater losing a step makes him no longer an average skater. It makes him a below average skater which is another way of saying that he is slow. AmIrite?

You have a reading comprehension issue. What I've said is that Couturier's issue is not due to skating speed. By the way, I could give you plenty of statistical data that shows that Couturier does not have an issue keeping up with the pace of play.

I think there is a difference between being a bad team and not being a smart team. Right now the Flyers are showing they’re not very smart. Zamula seems to be getting more minutes than he deserves. Drysdale and Johnson should have been split after game one. Andrae has no reason to be called up if he isn’t going to play. I don’t know why they threw the money they did at Fedotov. Luchanko isn’t ready. Most of this can be adjusted or fixed.

We won’t really know how bad they are until they’ve gotten rest and brushed off that brutal road trip. Clearly we as fans didn’t play but I know I was tired the next day after watching those late games.

How long until Ms. Purdy goes down with injury too? This Ninas team is soft. Might even be softer than Jerruh Jones' Cowgirls! Ehhhh what?

That makes no sense. There is no statistical data that can prove that. It's called watching the games which is something foreign to you.

The Ninas are the undisputed best team in football when they are healthy and they would dismantle the Eagles just like they did last year. What was that score again? Oh, that's right...41-19. Thanks for stopping by dimwit.

You prove your ignorance. You have to be a fool to imply that someone doesn't watch the game. It's a blatantly idiotic statement. For example, if what you say is true and Couturier due to skating can't keep up with the play. Wouldn't he be getting crushed defensively? Wouldn't the other team be carrying play when he is on the ice.

His linemates are bailing his slow ass out. These are all things that needs to be considered when watching Coots have serious issues keeping up with the pace of play on a regular basis.

Prove that his linemates are bailing his slow ass out. Provide some facts. Which linemates specifically?

What I'm trying to figure out- yes it is a new year, but only Michkov has been added from last year. Ironically, still no backup goaltender. They are still.being out played 5 on 5 just like the last 15 games last season. So.is this just a continuition that has grown to 20 games- which seems like a lot. Or if the two seasons should not be linked (certainly fair)- how many games into this season the 5 on 5 plays lags, does it become a problem. Ersson has kept the team in every game he has played this season. He is carrying the team during 5 on 5, not vice versa.

And there it is! As predictable as the sun coming up in the east tomorrow. When he starts losing (which is quite frequently) he resorts to name calling. He shoots...he scores!!!!!
- Phillywhiteout

Well it's because he just doesn't understand what he is watching, so he resorts to stats as and reddit to help his opinion.

I guarantee if you asked him about a hockey scenario, he would probably answer potatoe 🥔 lmfao

Lol MJL doesn't understand hockey that's not in any form of statistic.

Thats why he trying to sound smart by saying I can provide the information and thinks he is right.

Like he couldn't understand the simplest of hockey situation .. like offensive and defensive faceoffs starts

Lol he thinks a player who only takes offensive draws against 3rd or 4th liners and never ask to kill penalties or trusted for last 5 min of a game when defending a lead is 1 of the better 2 way forwards and his stats say so.

Why do you do this to yourself. Do you think this is going to help you? You and I have had many interactions and discussions on what happens during the game. That history shows that you don't know what you're looking at and that I do. Simple as that. Then we can look at the history of discussing the team outside of actual game events. That history also shows that you don't have a clue and that I do. There is nothing you can do about that. With that reality, this is the tact that you're going to take? It's what idiots do.

Everyone knows that Torts loves his veteran players, so why do you think he appears to be picking on his captain? Let me give you a hint. He also feels that he is struggling to keep up with the pace of play. Thanks!

That is anecdotal and is your opinion. Not backed up by any facts. As if we should apply infallibility to John Tortorella's decisions who routinely elevates players over players that are better and develops biases. His decision making is often irrational and illogical. You're going to have to do better.

You ever hear of the word "logic"? Sometimes logic supercedes stats. Let's weigh the evidence. Coots seems like he would be a Torts type of player. He's not a boat rocker and he plays hard every shift. He's an established veteran in the league. So logically why would Torts be moving him down in the lineup? Just go back one year. Torts played Coots 20 minutes every night. Torts has his warts of course, but he has seen a decline in this player on the ice and he is not blind. You know, he's been behind the bench for 20+ years. I think he knows what he is seeing. AmIrite?

Looks like the natives are starting to get restless. Torts/DB really need a win soon (and just as importantly Fedotov needs to show he wasn't a DB mistake). Glad to see we aren't the only ones who noticed that Andrae got called up just to sit in the press box.

The downturn began when Walker was traded and Seeler went out. Then Hart left the team. Sub-par NHL goaltending and a defense that does not move the puck well results in losses. Ersson has been fine as the starter.

Fedotov is not an NHL goalie at this point. Flyers defense is way worse than before the collapse happened last year.

Human logic is often flawed. Players are moved down the lineup when they're not playing well. You don't even know what you're arguing. My position is not that Couturier hasn't declined. My position is that it is not due to not being able to skate well enough to keep up with the pace of play. What we should do is review a number of recent posts you've made in the last few days concerning Tortorella and apply " he has been behind the bench for 20+ year and knows what he is seeing" to them. You're being hypocritical. You want to apply infallibility to Tortorella when it is convenient.

And now the goal post moving begins to suit your agenda. Yes, I ripped Torts on here yesterday cause I'm tired of him changing the lines around all the time. Stick with the same lineup for awhile and whichever line is playing the best in a given game, give them the most ice time. You folks crack me up! You were complaining last year cause Torts was playing Coots too much and now folks are complaining that he isn't being played enough. I rest my case as far as Coots is concerned. His game has declined dramatically in the past year and a big part of that is his ability to keep up with the pace of play. He is/was the type of player that couldn't afford to lose a step or two and he has for various reasons.
