Dom wrote a bit on the Athletic about Petey with some fancy numbers people get agitated about in here. Basically suggesting one reason his offense has dried up is that his defensive game has gone up significantly.
"The more likely scenario is that playing “the right way” is the absolute wrong way for Pettersson. The Canucks need to take their Ferrari out of the garage." - NewYorkNuck
Dom is a cuck. Believe it or not but it’s true |

I think he is a great fit on this team, pretty much overreaction from many fans that just have never liked Pettersson’s game, and they seem to be the most vocal.
My prediction is he will be at minimum a point per game player this year, at minimum.
And why is he getting grief over 11.6m when it was presented as an ultimatum, sign this or your gone. - Makita
He is teammates don’t like him. |

So you say, how can you back this up, if there was dissentient wouldn’t there be a leak, not saying you don’t have credibility but as an anonymous poster it lacks a little umph. |

Stars/Bruins. Good game so far. |

It’s not just Miller, the majority of the team is furious with Pouty. Wouldn’t be surprised if he is shipped off - CanuckDon
Thanks Don, probably why JTM gave him the business. Drink the Kool-Aid or (frank) off. If he doesn't have the respect of his teammates there's a problem. Happy Miller is on his case.

It’s nonsense, I know people in the organization (alumni), it’s no secret Miller isn’t his biggest fan but you never have 23 guys who are best buddies. Petey is well liked but they’d like him to be more aggressive, is what I’m told, he’s too passive.
"I don’t care if he makes a mistake, it’s about being more aggressive.”

Pretty sure JTM doesn't like him. Problem when he's a team leader.

We used to think him and Boeser hated eachother. It has worked out pretty well. |

Miller is old school, he cares, he’s just trying to give Petey some tough love to get him going. They need him in order to be successful. |

Miller has been 'old school' for a solid year and a bit.
Before that he was a pouting pre-teen, as well.
A little friction is probably good for a room and probably not as uncommon as some passives might assume. It's only really an issue when someone's track suit is thrown in the shower, then it's go time. |

Read this great article on teammates unwritten rules. Some of them are hilarious. Never would of thought of them...
"It's an unwritten rule to - if it's late on a road trip - let the vets go up the elevator first"

It is comical how 2 years ago everyone hated Miller and loved Pettersson (except Reuby, he hates everyone) and now
And I agree, a little friction is good, this isn’t a kumbaya team or league, but hockey fans Love their gossip like old women in a knitting circle. |

It’s funny, everything is so overblown in Vancouver. Marchand and the Bruins coach just had a blowup on the bench, as did Torts and Nick Seeler. Players get pissed off at each other all the time during practice drills….but this is unique to Miller and Petey. |

Says the Philly fan.
But I agree, passionate fans are the worst. Sports would be so much better without them. |

Oh my goodness, the Philly board is so funny, people are so dramatic over there. They want a cup but they don’t wanna go through the pain of acquiring elite talent from drafting to get there. No losing allowed. |

I've got a guy they can trade for. Low maintenance, high end player.

Hate to see Miller go, buuttt if that can make passionate Canuck fans breathe a sigh of relief then that would do wonders for the kumbaya most here want… |

Overaction by fans in sports has brought some of the best moments in sports. I think it's great and would be boring as sh it without it.
Imagine if fans behaved like pro golfers. I would fu cking shoot myself. |

Bruins stuck in their own end with Zadorov on the ice from what I’ve seen. |

Yeah, I posted that two hours ago. That second period was a bit rough on the Bruins. But the first was fun to watch. |

Trading high-end talent rarely gets you fair value in return, Pettersson isn’t getting traded, both him and the organization made huge commitments to each other. I would trade him for McTavish plus in Anaheim though.
