Are you okay moving him if he's not a good fit on the team? - VanHockeyGuy
But he is a great fit on the team, so your point is what? He's a big part of the turnaround the organizations' had. The players rave about his skill and how much he means to the team, even Miller said he re-signed in Vancouver because they have great players like Petey.
Obviously you, and 99.9% of everyone else, hasn't played sports at a high level, they think this kid has another level or two he can get to, they're trying to push him to that level.

Petey's on his 7th year with the team, 3rd season with Allvin, and 2nd full season with Tocc. You would think they would have known by now if he wasn't a good enough fit for the team.
I trust Allvin to make the right decision. If he feels like it's in the team's best interest to move him, then I defer to his knowledge. However, from what I can tell and what evidence there is so far, they believe in him and his fit in the team. I believe they have more knowledge and acumen then some guys whinging on an anonymous hockey site.

I don't think they'd ever get fair value for him and it would be a huge mistake, on the Neely level, to trade him. You'd need a young top six center in return, which don't exactly grow on trees, or you might as well start a rebuild because you're not winning shit with one top six center (Miller).

LOL !!! How could they ever replace one ESG in 40 games! Mike Santorelli could replace him

Your ignorance is short-sighted, but not unexpected. The Canucks just had their 3rd best season in their history and Petey had over a point per game, on a supposed down year, hahaha...you and your stooge are such clowns, it's laughable. Carry on.
I wouldn't let you operate my wheel barrow let alone my investment portfolio.

40 games with one goal is totally fine. Nothing to see here. Moving on

I know you’re just saying crap for the sake of saying it, however, the truth is he’s still contributing to their success. His even strength goal drought started March 21, 2024 until the end of the season, a span of 13 games. But he still contributed 7 points, was plus three, averaged 20 minutes a night and was 51% on faceoffs. Similar stats in the playoffs, but yes, he needs to score.
I get that you like face punchers, he’s another soft Swede. But. He’s a fantastic player and both the Canucks management and players know it. This will blow over when he has a few multi point games….until then we listen to the drama queens.
Pettersson's last 34 games (incl PO's) he has not one 5/5 goal. Not one. Let that sink in for a bit. Yes we are all aware he's getting better at 200' play in a 'Barkov' Style role lol but at 11.6 mil he's paid to score.
So the Miller thing is good JT is probably fed up with his attitude and play. OK in Petey's defense he needs better linemates than Garland Hogs but still he has to make sh!t happen out there especially at 5/5 play. He's being paid like a 110 point player it's time for him to buck up and start filling the fucking net like he is caopable. Folks need to stop making excuses for the guy. Score. - LordHumungous
Ok, you can certainly have your beliefs about what Pettersson should be doing but I think with a different mindset on what Pettersson should do.
1st off I don’t criticize him for 11.6 salary, Alvin imposed that, Alvin should have held out because of his slow finish to last season, that is on Alvin not Pettersson so all this poop is hyperbole.
2nd and another hyperbole bullpoop that gets under my skin is “folks need to stop making excuses for the guy”. It might be hard to fathom but because other Canuck fans disagree with your and other impatient fans hyperbole doesn’t mean they are making excuses, they are being realistic without the “sky is falling”. I personally believe Pettersson will be close to if not over the 100 point total. Not an excuse, not an old guy screaming at a cloud scenario just what I think without hyperbole or coddling.
Tocchet uses Pettersson in all aspects, he played the most minutes last game, why aren’t you trashing Tocchet for his reliance on Pettersson in all situations, guess Pettersson should just tell Tocchet to stuff his 200 foot game, he should just stand at the blue line waiting.
Anyway different way of looking at things.
Meh…it’s just noise from people who don’t matter. Last year at this time, everyone was whining because he wasn’t signed, they said he didn’t want to play here, blah blah blah. So then he signs has some injuries and his confidence is suffering so now everybody wants to run him out of town. It’s Brock Boeser 2.0, Vancouver fans & media are idiots for the most part. - Pacificgem
A good friend of mine is a deadhead and he'll be crushed. I've never been a huge fan of the group but appreciate their contribution and significance. - bloatedmosquito
Going to a show was the experience. A pretty dedicated fan base with it's travelling caravan of vending. Glass pipes, tie dyes, 'kind' veggie burritos, and ice cold beer. It was known as Shakedown Street after one of their songs. Musically, I preferred the Jerry Garcia Band.
