Fedotov in, Foerster in- Brink out- shocking I tell ya. Jett still out-maybe he has a final written test in the pressbox to pass until he gets sent down to Guelph.

- Trox88

Quite strange. If the plan is to sit Jett in one of the back to back games, at least that would be consistent but both? It's like they realize they made a huge mistake in keeping him up but aren't sure how to fix it without admitting it was a mistake.

Still annoyed Andrae never got a look to see what he could do on the big club when they called him up.

So PHLY made a good point that at least puts some logic towards Torts line jumbling. They say that some of it is due to the Special teams. You got guys who are tired from playing shifts on the PK, that will affect your lines. You cant send Coots or Konecny out on their regular line if they just finished killing a penalty and you arent going to sit your top players because 1 guy on each of your top 6 lines is tired. So you juggle. Put the rested guys together.

Or Torts could just have ADHD.

There is some reason to it. Flyers love the penalty box.

I thought Brink player fairly well. He is one of the better passers on the team. I guess this is a useless skill on a team that can't seem to receive a pass cleanly. His one gaffe led to a goals, but he certainly wasn't alone in this category

This is a legitimate argument proven with facts. I think the road trip to start the season does hurt, along with a home and home on back to back nights. I agree this isn’t a very good team but this early schedule is brutal.

That's not a good point, that's terrible time management.

Of course there is a rationale to Tortorella’s decisions. Doesn’t mean it isn’t trash. Sam Berkowitz had a rationale for his actions as well and it was talking dogs.

You can only do so much with an undisciplined team. I think the Flyers are at 30 min of stick infractions alone.

Flyers have 95 PIMS in 6 games....... Thats like 15 minutes per game. Yea some of that is majors but you still lose guys in the box for extended amounts of time and have guys out on special teams.

Interview with Torts pregame :

Q: What would you like to see from your offense tonight?
A: Better backchecking.

wtf? Not that backchecking isn't important but scoring some goals and showing some chemistry would seem to be higher on the wishlist.

I see frustrated players. I see players that are playing the way they know they will fail. I see players that are just going through the motions they are told.

A player becomes undisciplined, but when the entire team becomes undisciplined...it's the coaching staff.

Tortorella always talks about accountability and playing the right way. One player can make a mistake and he sits. Tippett has been one of the worst forwards away from the puck since he has been here. Recall how he sat and watched as Boeser skated off the wall to the net for a rebound goal. Tippett is one example of how he can make mistakes after mistake and is never held accountable. Just an example of how full of crap Tortorella is

Pre game interview and Tortorella said he's not worried about goal scoring. He's worried about the defensive tracking. Says it all

Does Fedotov play small again and getting eaten alive or shuts out Washington?

Probably one or the other.

So you are saying the Flyers need a coach who will instill some discipline and accountability into the players?

Feds needs to learn to close his legs. I know it was a redirect but there was a lot of open net between those tall legs.

I don't know where I'm going
But I sure know where I've been
Hanging on the promises in songs of yesterday
And I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time
Here I go again, here I go again
Though I keep searching for an answer
I never seem to find what I'm looking for
Oh, Lord, I pray you give me strength to carry on
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams
Here I go again on my own
Going down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter, I was born to walk alone
And I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time
I'm just another heart in need of rescue
Waiting on love's sweet charity
And I'm gonna hold on for the rest of my days
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams
And here I go again on my own
Going down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter, I was born to walk alone
And I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time
But here I go again
Here I go again
Here I go again
Here I go
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams
And here I go again on my own
Going down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter, I was born to walk alone

With his size he should be able to swallow up most shots, even if redirected, unless it's a perfect shot.

Instead....his play. He has a lot of work to do, not even worth the re-sign.

Forget shots, I'm keeping track how many shifts that 4th line gets.

Torts has so much confidence in his top 6 and it shows.
