Not at all. I never said that. So I am not allowed to point out a bad shift? Or is he a perfect hockey player above criticism?
Vlasic was by far the best Hawk on the ice stats wise, is that better? Murphy was second and Craig Smith was third based on Hockeyststcatds. Com.
Allen and Brodie were the 2 worst (Brodie has consistently been on the bottom). - LAHawk
They fell apart after the Teravenien goal was called back, and I don’t have the data from the Vlasic shift, but it seemed like a three minute shift. Who’s in goal tonight? Can’t throw Commesso out there against Dallas, that wouldn’t be fair to the kid. |

Agree bread, Jones took the pass away, that’s his job. That I would think was a high danger shot, so although it was on Mrazek, it would have been a tough save. I have not seen the replay, but that’s how I saw it. - Angotti
I thought Jones played that badly. Didn´t have a good gap control and gave too much space for the shooter. It wasn´t clear 2 on 1 at all.

Theyre using bedard to set others up instead of the other way around.. id play him as the bumper - LFS
I don't think the best shot on the team should be a bumper unless our bumper shoots. |

From The Athletic…
2. One of the biggest bright spots was the continued re-emergence of Lukas Reichel. The tantalizing but inconsistent 22-year-old set up the first goal with a brilliant burst of speed, racing down the ice before finding Craig Smith at the front of the net for a redirect.
Reichel was still on the fourth line; he has found good chemistry in limited minutes with Smith. But Richardson started deploying him strategically as the game went on, taking advantage of the last change by giving Reichel occasional shifts on the top line with Connor Bedard and Teräväinen when there was a favorable matchup against a bottom-six Nashville line. Reichel also saw time on the power play and was the extra attacker when Mrázek was pulled late in the game. He played a season-high 14 minutes, 4 seconds.
“I thought he was good,” Richardson said. “I thought he gave us the speed that we wanted early in the game. Tried to get him on the power play — (he had) a real nice shot off the side, and he made some good plays today. And he tracked hard defensively. So definitely another step forward for him. |

They folded. Complete control of the game, have a goal called back, and they folded. |

This season is still about developing young players whether with the Big Club or in the A.
Missed most of the game but watched some of the highlights and Reichel appeared in a few besides the goal. Was good to see him displaying speed and pushing the play.
At least from what I watched, he was going to the net. Like I said didn’t see any except for the last five mins so not sure if he was pulling up along the boards just inside the blue line like he was doing most of last year.
Imagine if he was though LR wouldn’t have rewarded him with more ice time. |

It’s one game though and we’re still less than 10 games in. I recognize that it’s never too early to make sweeping generalizations, stick a fork in the team, and proclaim this season is no different than the last. |

Reichel was excellent with Smith snd Maroon. With Bedard and TT, he was good once they exited the defensive zone. Unfortunately that was a chore, even against Nashville’s 4th line. |

Thanks for the update. Still see it as a net positive and hopefully he eventually plays more regularly with better linemates where it’s not so much of a chore.
Him showing chemistry with someone other than AA is a good thing too. |

Didn't get a chance to see the game last night, just looking at the box score and highlights, it's tough to win when you give up a SHG and PPG.
I'm glad Reichel looks to be doing well, cause there is 2 openings on that 2nd line.
Hopefully Nazar is so good that he comes up sometime next year and takes the other opening. |

Well thats the point.. also should draw the defenders in giving more space to the others. The way it is now bedard is being wasted on the pp |

8 games in and this team is already cooked. Richardson needs to go. Bertuzzi needs to be sent on a rocket to the sun what a waste of money. How many more years left on Seth Jones? Ugh |

Definitely a positive in regards to Reichel, used his speed and was engaged. I saw him win two board battles on one shift. He was bottled in on the defensive zone on a shift with Bedard and TT, and that’s why you need a bigger boy on that first line with Bedard and TT, but Foligno is not it. They’re still two-three years away from pushing for a playoff spot, as they’re short three top six forwards/center. Only four games for Reichel, but I would move him to the 2nd line, as Kurashev is not a center in my book. |

Totally agree. This team can not compete for 60 minutes. That's on Luke Richardson. Same as last year. They're gassed after a great 1st period and can't compete ??? His 5 man shell in front of Mrazek last night in P3 was laughable. NO LEGS = NO EFFORT. Jon Cooper might be available next year.
Go get him !!

Update
Rockford 5-2 @ Manitoba. three stars: Guttman goal & assist
Weeks 29 saves, Savoie two assist
Leveshunov credited with assist took goal away. In addition to Hayes and Gutman, other goals by Dach, Fitzgerald, Rolston. I noticed KK with a PP assist and DelMastro had regular assist. Ludwinski and Hayes both +2 Luypen in lineup.
Encouraging report, eh |

Yep, just look at the big clubs D pairings and RKF's roster and their bursting with high round picks. Now that Levshunov is playing down on the farm there's a lotta high end talent developing in the system.
In the mean time to my eye since the tear down last night's 1st period gave us the first glimpse of what this club might look like. They were as connected as I've seen under LR and they were playing fast, structured and the forecheck overwhelmed at times.
They were flying. Then I thought what would this look like with a Nazar, Lardis, Moore, Kancerov, Boisvert, Greene, Savoie, Ludwinski, KK, Lev types throughout the lineup?
Then the 2nd period came.

And several of these times were right after a PK, and after Foligno had gotten off the ice- personally, I think was as much a product of the PK line up as anything else - but I was thinking like a hockey player I think, and not so much as building up some sort of personnel narrative, as can happen on blogs.

Bamford reports Mrazek is going back to back. No doubt, tough spot for Commesso to make his first start.
Nick Foligno — Connor Bedard — Teuvo Teräväinen
Taylor Hall — Philipp Kurashev — Tyler Bertuzzi
Ilya Mikheyev — Jason Richardinson — Ryan Donato
Pat Maroon — Lukas Reichel — Craig Smith
Alex Vlasic — Seth Jones
Wyatt Kaiser — Connor Murphy
Nolan Allan — TJ Brodie

Watching Hayes at Rockford I think he is an under the radar darn good prospect. With his receive and fast release and being a goal scorer, I hope he surprise those who haven’t paid much attention to him. Good well rounded or has worked to become better player. Feel free to prop him up later this year if you see hear his progress impresses while in Rickfird |

Foligno on the 3rd line Donato to the 4th with Smith and Maroon |
