lucus raymond got over 8 mil for a 72 point season - homiedclown
Also Jarvis at 7.9m. I think those are his comps, if he puts up 65+

Can always ship off Clifton or Sammy if you need that extra few mil. We're fine for next year IMO. Agreed with the breakdown as well but have to figure 1 of the 2 spots for Greenway/Zucker goes to a prospect. Too many down there for one not to be ready by next season...my bet is still on Rosen. Hbu? - QuinnFan
Well, first the projected lineup:
JJP - Tage - Tuch
? - Cozens/? - Quinn
Benson - McLeod - Kulich
Awesome Beck - Krebs -?
Johnson - Dahlin
Power - Byram
Samuelsson - Cliffy
UPL
Levi
So that leaves:
-L2 Winger or C
-L4 Winger
For the L2 need, I would like for them to target a playmaker, proficient passer, who can process the game quickly...the skill set necessary to be a threat down low.
The only guy I think that fits that desire from the Prospects is Ostlund possibly.

Kulich, Rosen, Ostlund, and Helenius should all be ready. Wahlberg possibly.
I do expect a vet, in the Zucker/Greenway mold and another NAK-type.
I think reshaping their D is more likely than a top 6 move.

What has promising, young Peterka done to get that much already? - Ratsreign
A lot of teams signing young players for where they think they'll project. Trying to save a couple bucks.

Guenther just got 8x7.15m. Peterka is line for more. - Lunaion
I would not say that. I'd give him that contract. Hes pretty comparable to Guenther and Guenter doing it quicker at a younger age.

Have some concerns about Johnson's fit. Has no physical game, puck moving LD. They have 3 significantly better versions of that on the team already. Could live with him + Clifton on a 3rd pair, but then they are bumping Samuelsson up and forcing heavier than Lindy wants on LD.
D group is screaming for a trade. Nothing against Byram, but that wasn't the move to fix their long term makeup. - Lunaion
Byram is disappointing to me, especially after how he looked his 1st 3 games here.
Samuelsson seems expensive for 3rd Pair.
So I agree their D is not optimized for the long term.
Byram might have more value as a trade chip than Powers complimentary partner. |

I don't see those guys as Top 6, rather as L3 players. Probably Ostlund as well, but his playmaking may bump him up a bit.
Helenius to me is a ? Of where he fits... just not sure.
Part of the reason I identified the T6 skill set I'm looking for is to run the PP from down low opposite Tage on the wall. Cycle the puck through that player to distribute from that position.
Kevyn still has moves to make. |

I totally get the strategy, and I prefer it over paying old dogs for past glory (especially when that glory wasn’t even for your team, lol).

Benson probably is top-6, right?
We've been here too many time, and the needs are less pressing now. If this group falls apart, you're fired anyways. Need a top 6? Zucker + Greenway. Need a top 4 RD? Clifton. I don't have a lot of confidence in Kev's ability to trade off the prospects who don't fit for upgrades. I think he's already waited too long.

Said at the top of the page, if he gets 65+, Jarvis becomes a better comp.
Does that qualify as bananas? It feels reasonable to me. 15 more points than last year. He's off to strong start and getting top line + top pp opportunities.

I think he can easily hit 60-65. Bananas to me would be like 75-82+. Jarvis also a center which tend to make more no?
I'd be happy with 7.1 to 7.5. |

Kev's year 1 incompetence was a real killer. - Lunaion
How’s kev doing so far this year ?
McLeod with 4 goals
Zucker looks excellent
Tage looking like a superstar for 7+

Don't believe Jarvis is playing C. He signed his deal coming off a 67 point season. Think it's a strong comp, if JJ gets there.
