Maybe he brings back Mike Ramsey?

Unsurprisingly, Edwards wants out:

I dont care for the 4th line. They need to get away from Lafferty. He stinks. Play Kulich there instead of sitting him.

D isn't even bad 5v5, just stop with the terrible giveaways.

Im talking the second line. Which would include a hurt Benson and a rookie kulich.

Whole team has to grow up and not act like children in tight games. Krebs and Dahlin come to mind first. Penalties have killed us in multiple games now.

- DirtyDan

Stinks too, I really liked NAK, Lafferty was intriguing. NAK doesn't look the same in his first game back, maybe that's to be expected. But Lafferty is simply not good.

2nd line and penalties, agreed. Gotta get going/grow up quick or this is going to crash and burn fast.

No reason to think we can’t finish 10 games ever fake .500 this season.

Does 92 points get you in the nhl playoffs this season?

- Boss34

I think you miss by a couple points at 92. Believe the historical average says, in my layman's terms, that 95 makes you safe. 94 is probably in. 93 questionable. 92 doubtful but it's happened. 91 or less and no dice.

NAK could get going again, tough to start hard and have to take a break right away. Get out of your groove. Lose some conditioning.
Lafferty just fvckin sucks. Hes alright at suppressing shots but beyond that he does NOTHING. Better off playing Kulich.

2nd line, penalties, and ONE of the damn goalies to grab the bull by the horns and run with it.

I actually don't mind the idea of letting Kulich cut his teeth with Krebs and NAK on the 4th line. Won't happen, but I like the premise.

Unfortunately, with goaltending, it won't be Levi grabbing horns, they have never given him any consistent playing time. UPL plays well, then gets overworked because they want to lean on him. Expect poor goaltending this year if the trends continue.

92 pts should get Adams fired. Period.
5 years and not able to make the playoffs is waaaaay too long to give him another chance

Yet, it is Pegula's golden boy and hiring a new GM is too much work, so, on and on and on it goes.

Especially not with the resources he had the last 4 years to.

Probably not. And I'd put him at center with NAK and Beck. I thought hes shown the ability to play there. Let Krebs run 2 with Cozens and Benson at wing. At the least for a game or 2.

I thought they should of played Levi against Florida. He took em on once and played well.

It's down considerably the last two seasons, however, the 4 non-covid years were higher
2015 - 93
2016 - 95
2017 - 97
2018 - 98
2019 COVID
2020 COVID
2021 - 100
2022 - 92
2023 - 91

Not sure how this year is tracking against other years.

Your guess is probably reasonable 93 or 94

This year? Even this year, think they gave him the opportunity to earn more time.

I understand that. But why! I can’t imagine he went from a good player to a garbage player in one offseason

Can't bring in blah players and expect anything other than blah results. Zucker has been good. McLeod waxes and wanes for me. The rest are hot garbage. Add in regression from Cozens, Benson and Quinn...we're in real trouble here.
- QuinnFan

This is a direct result of the inability of the organization to bring in quality forward talent that would then push players like Cozens, Benson and Quinn down a line.

Same applies for even pushing any of Tage, Tuch or Peterka down a line.

Nobody outside the org knows the reason why.

The excuse is all players hate Buffalo.

The opportunity to change that was 2 seasons ago both at the trade deadline and the offseason. Instead the org slow played it under the guise of these things take time, and we love our players, which is humorous when Casey was traded later.

Are they risk averse, not wanting to pay the price? Too afraid to 'lose' a deal?

Regardless of the reason or reasons, only the results matter, and those results have been a constant over reliance on very young players being locked in high in the lineup positions without proper, quality veteran support.

this team is a lot different when cozens and quinn are not up their own ass.
- TheSabresTaco

No poop, and they are totally (frank)ed if BOTH of them don't get their head out of their asses, but doesn't this reveal the much larger problem, which is an inability to truly improve the top half of the roster, both on forward and defense?
