Just finished watching…not acceptable the first almost 2 periods…with that said they stuck with it….thanks to some wonky goaltending at other end.
Coots was finally rewarded that’s the 3rd solid game in a row. Talk about wiling to go to the tough area’s. Konecny as well…talent to play with Michkov.
Michkov really is a guy that can change momentum…his goal really was the turning point for me even though Minny came right back.
Now goaltending…what the (frank)?
Happy they made decision on Luchanko. It’s the right one…a bit late…but with this organization….it’s a win.

Not a bit late IMO. Luchanko earned the chance to play some NHL games and got a taste. Now he can go back with confidence and make the team next year out of camp as I predicted a week after the Flyers selected him.

The good new this season so far for the Flyers is an 89% PK and a 24% PP. That totals 103 which is really, really good. One of the best special teams in the league.

The downside this year so far, the Flyers are the 2nd most penalized team in the league, only Boston is worse than them, and have given up the 3rd most goals, only behind the Penguins and Devils. I agree with Torts that they defended hard today, but the puck was in their zone most of the first two periods. Hopefully the Flyers can gain some confidence 5v5 and turn things around. Boston coming up twice this week, probably a good time to get them.

It was late. There was no reason to keep him on the team. He was clearly not ready for the NHL. Just another poor decision made by the Flyers. Briere's comments in the presser before the game were comical.

Morgan Frost -12 for season, only played 11 minutes today.

Igor Zamula -10 for the season, finally got his ice time cut. 14 minutes for the game.

Owen Tippett -9
Jamie Drysdale -8
Joel Farabee -8

Everyone else at least respectable. These are all reasonable young players. Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

I didnt put money down on it but I had him as a Calder favourite with 50-60 points. I think most people have him as the Calder Favourite. Based on his play he is on pace to be even better. We will see if he hits a wall later in the season.

Tbh. He's better than I thought he’d be. So far, he looks like the second best player from that draft.

Kosolov and Andrae being recalled and BOTH will play tomorrow.
- landros 2

It's almost like they are reading this board

Jett sent down, finally
Andrae called up and actually playing this time

All no brainer decisions that should've happened before they did but better late than never.

Kolosov, not sure how i feel about that. Not exactly setting the AHL on fire but Fedotov is unplayable and looking like a huge miss right now so why not?

I guess if nothing else it's an olive branch to show him there's a path.

I still don't think they will sit Michkov's interpreter but we will see.

They just need to keep thing simple. Risto, Drysdale, Johnson on the right. Sanheim, Seeler and andrae on the left. Sit Zamula. It’s just one game.

If he hadn’t been a healthy scratch in a back to back I’d agree. But he was and to me that’s what makes it a tad late. Kid was healthy and didn’t play for a week.
The PK has been great. The PP moves the puck much better and are being rewarded…the Michkov effect. These half game efforts simply aren’t good enough. The goaltending with the exception of two of Ersson’s starts has simply been bad too awful.

Watching both Ersson and Fedotov….he should know there’s a path…Fedotov has been brutal…Ersson hasn’t been that bad …but bad none the less..

Ersson has been fine so far with the exception of that 5th goal yesterday which I didn’t like. Hes given them a chance most games despite them being heavily outplayed and his poor record is on the team not him I’d say.

Feds hasn’t looked like an nhl goaltender at all.

he is rocking a .87 save percentage. that is not nowhere near good enough. he needs to step up and make the hard saves. that's what separates the good from the so so

I thought he was good the first two games in VCR and EDM…but other than that I haven’t liked his hame at all. His numbers are what they are. Bad.

Maybe the team has to step up and play some d in front of him?
I’m certain that even if we had the best tender in the game today, they’d still struggle Mightily with this team. Goalies can’t do it all themselves.

Look at Tuesdays game vs Washington. First two goals were short handed breakaways. Sure it’s great to get a save there but those are very hard stops and huge breakdowns. On top of that, we spend entirely too much time in our zone. Look at yesterday. After scoring the first two we basically spent the next two periods in our zone.

I feel like his numbers are bad because the team in front of him is bad. The chances they give up. The extended time spent in our zone. It all adds up and I don’t put the bad start to the season on him. Until yesterday, we weren’t scoring very much in support either.

he needs to be better. just because he gives up "good" goals doesn't exclude him from criticism. needs to stop some of the "unstoppable".

like I said a better goalie makes some of those hard saves. that is why they are better.

It was late. The whole process was an indictment of that front office. To only get 4 games in what is supposed to be a 9 game trial means he was never really close.

To sit him 3 games in a row (sent down the day of the 3rd game which wasted that whole day anyway) after you decided the trial was over is incompetence or at best waiting for the right moment to not highlight to the public that the 9 game trial was a mistake.

It's not hindsight that most people and even Bill questioned Jett making the initial roster. How many times did we hear that he was the youngest player in the league and how great that pick was?

How many times have we heard that the Flyers are the 3rd youngest team in the league?

https://leftwinglock.com/teams/biometrics/

Without Jett playing the Flyers are 4th, creeping up on 5th. Jett being on the roster and ice checked alot of PR boxes for them.

Busy weekend, so didn't see the game yesterday, but yeah, I see that Ersson had another subpar save pct. yesterday (.808). JFC! Can this team get a save? In other news, Cutter is tearin it up for those Mighty Ducks!!

Hearing the Flyers will start Kolosov tonight, and also recall Andrae. This would be a good game to get Andrae in, since Montreal is a fast but small team.

Are you EVER happy about anything? They sent the kid down! That's what you wanted. Oh, stop the presses, he missed out on a couple of OHL games. Let's make a federal case out of it! WTF!

Oh stop already. It was great for the kid to get a taste of the NHL, he earned it with a strong camp. You are just looking for things to complain about! I applaud the Flyers for picking him over Buium and for getting him into a few games, but in the end doing the right thing and sending him back to junior a consistent player.
