How the FRANK, do you have a 3-0 lead on home ice and lose 6-3. I do not care that it was to the Stanley Cup Champions.

How the FRANK, do you lose! The once strong defensive core that was a staple of this team is no more.

Get with the program Nfd. When the Islanders lose, it's because they are playing the champs, puck luck, injuries, taxes, the Cap, the Rangers. It's not about Lou being lousy at this job.

Maybe we should fire the coach again and quadruple down on pretty much the same lineup.

This was said with sarcasm but maybe Roy being fired isn’t that crazy of a thought. 😆

#Isles HC Patrick Roy was asked about Pierre Engvall postgame:

"We know what he did for this team the past two years, and I guess Lou thought it was a good moment for him to be back and play."

Lou thought it was a good moment. Of course he did. The owners will be dumb enough to back Lou.

I just read this season is the lowest attendance they’ve had so far for UBS. If it continues they’ll take notice.

I definitely sense a difference of opinion between Lou and Roy. I think Lou goes first…..he fielded the same team as last year basically and it’s the same results.

It’s the fans fault. We should be backing Lou like he is a cult leader.

Lou has fielded the same team for years. He expects his coaches to be miracle workers.

He has pretty much fielded the same team since he has been here minus Horvat and Romanov. Let some good players go for Pennie’s on the dime along the way. Not sure how many more times this fanbase can hear “I believe in this group” and watch this boring, mediocre at best, brand of hockey.

Owners want to know why attendance is down they need to look no further than that. People don’t want to pay to watch a team that hasn’t been good for years.

Been very little differences in how both approached the roster.

They share that same methodology. Team fails blame the coach not my fault. Been working for decades for this guy. 😆

He’s still riding his rep from the 90’s.

I would say 2022 for me due to him not seeing the obvious. The obvious being this team needed at the very least a retool with a great draft that year. But yeah agreed.

Barry fell into the Islanders lap as no other jobs were open and Barry wanted to be paid. Barry made this team look good and outside of the two runs, it was still a struggle for Barry as well.

Not going to say that schmuck was right about anything BUT stating that Lou is passed his prime isn’t exactly rocket science. Lou did a lot of good for the organization but you have to know when to pull the plug. All of these guys have a shelf life. Lou’s expired a couple of years ago.

This isn’t based on last nights game but the body of work the last few years. This team is and has been the same thing since we missed the playoffs during Covid. Same cast for the most part. We could keep firing coaches or the organization can finally see it’s a personnel problem from top to bottom.

There’s zero excitement with this team. Who’s the star? When I was growing up, the isles had stars. Dynasty, Lafontaine, Palffy, Turgeon, even Yashin was selling jerseys. Who’s the star? Barzal?

Hearing Patrick Roy and Lou Lamoriello had a major verbal fight before tonights game vs FLA about certain recent transactions and Lou is forcing Roy to play players he doesn’t want in his lineup. Major tension between coach and GM I’ve heard there’s a good chance Roy will resign.

Not sure about the authenticity but it kinda makes sense

Well based on the attendance numbers it appears they are starting to boycott. That’s what will get the owners attention. I have to imagine Roy isn’t happy about the additions of Martin and Engvall. Neither were starting with this team. What changed? Why are we seeing last years roster again? Something has to give..

Patrick better go to the Owners and tell them it's him or me. No reason Patrick has to play Lou's mistakes. Barry had the same issues with no say on the roster. This is going to turn into the Neil Smith Patty L mess.
