tks Hugo.
yeah, 2 big wins this weekend, but lets not forget againts who they were playing.
STL and PHI are not top tier teams, far from it. Habs really didn't have a choice here, they needed these 2 W. not taking anything away from them, they played well. much better than last week. baby steps. |

I thought about mentionning the quality of oppositon, then again you could make the same case about their loss to the Rangers, a team that's probably top 3 in the NHL right now.
I think if they keep playing like they did last weekend, they can at least compete in every game they play.

Hugo Brossoit: The Necessary Adjustments - Hugo Brossoit
All my best comments will remain unnoticed at the end of the last blog.
Also, I agree with pretty much everything - especially the specialty teams. They have been a pleasant surprised. with a very hot CC right now, the PP is a fun ride. But I doubt we can expect him to maintain a 72 goal pace and a 31% shooting percentage. Someone will eventually have to pick up the slack.
The PK, on the other hand, should be able to maintain its presence near the top of the list.
Feels good not to have poopty specialty teams. Lets hope they keep it up.

Great blog, thank you.
No mention of the Arber call and the 3rd man in? I was scratching my head after that one. If Arber is getting 2 for talking to someone who drops his gloves first (probably due to him knowing he had back up rushing in) AND a 3rd man jumping in from behind then maybe AX should just have punched him and gotten a penalty anyways.
