Terri Garr should be a hottie to most people with eyes.

Gorgeous is Audrey Hepburn. Facial structure, features, the whole universal package.

Modern day package is Selma Hayek.

Teri Garr at her peak is about as average as you can get. She’s not ugly, but that’s not even worth a smack by the wife for a double look. Actually I don’t even think the wife would even care.

Update: She looks like everyone’s mom when they were in college

I like the lines. Probably switch Laughton with Cates but this is the line up we need.

Beauty in the eye of the beholder. Terri Garr was a hottie when she was younger. There are millions of "hotties" in the world. You listed two women.

I remember when Philippe Myers was highly touted.
- THE EVIL WITHIN

It’s so funny because he was. Undrafted. I think most of us were watching him in world juniors and I think he was on their top pair for Canada before getting hurt. Obviously things have changed but the Flyers and the fans had high hopes he’d be a top 4 defender. I know I did until his final season in Philly.

Well then there are billions of hotties then. I guess my definition of hottie is just like mine for generational.

Update: now I understand better why I hear so many guys call women hot

Where does the phrase "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" come from

You may think one woman is hot and I may think she's not. As an exercise, name your top 3 and then I'll name my top 3.

That does seem to be the go to for Flyer fans…the hockey IQ. It must be the orange that washes it out.

That's how I saw it also. He was tall and could skate. I did not understand how he did not get drafted. I guess some of the scouts know what they are doing.

If you can sign a young kid for all the reasons you just stated, you do it and hope the organization gets the best out of him. I liked Myers in his first two seasons. I was there for his first ever NHL game when the team sent him out to warm ups alone. I thought he had a good playoff run in 2020 but beyond that, he fell short in his last season here.

Did you read my post? I said you've narrowed the scope of elite players by applying that they had to be in the top 5 at their position. I disagree with that. Let's just simply look at the center position in the NHL.

McKinnon
McDavid
Matthews
Draisaitl
Crosby
Miller
Point
Aho
Pettersson
Barkov

Just to name a few. Now tell me who your top 5 is. Then I guess whomever is left out is not elite. After we deal with that then we can have an accurate look at the talent level on Florida from last season.

- MJL

Point is nowhere near an elite player. If you want to drop to very good sure but he’s a Travis Konecny level player benefiting from being on team team with true elite talent like Kucherov. If he was on Columbus he would barely known. Center is also a position where you could make a case of a distinction between scoring and selke level two way threats like Barkov. I would say Barkov is a top 5 center but others would disagree if you basing it on points.

Elites are special talents that would be great on any team regardless of the talent around them. They are up for awards like the Norris, Selke, Vezina and Ross and not just for a one off. If want to expand that fine but the word loses its meaning when there are too many of them.

You keep mentioning the cliche “beauty in the eye of the beholder.”, but that refers to a person attraction to another. Just because someone is attracted to someone doesn’t mean they become “hot”.

That technically means EVERYONE is actually hot.

Top 3? Can I just select the cast of the View?

You're out of your mind if you don't think Brayden Point is an elite player. He's probably going in the hall of Fame. Travis Konecny isn't close to Point's level. Point has scored 51 and 46 goals the last two seasons. Konecny's career high in goals is 33. What are you talking about? LOL Point has also scored 42 goals and 45 assists for 87 points in 87 playoff games. He would be a star in Columbus same as he in TB. Your opinion on Point is laughable.

https://www.nhl.com/news/...ers-ranked-top-20-centers

Brayden Point Ranked #7

You dodged the question. It's clear that elite extends to more than just the top 5 at a position. The same can be done with every position.

Are you telling me that there are hotties that you aren't attracted to? That you don't find attractive? What it means is that being a hottie is subjective.

Someone in this world is extremely attracted to Lizzo, which nothing is wrong with that, but if someone told me she was hot I would without hesitation laugh at them.

Maybe I could use an example you would like....there are women who think Rod Brind'Amour is "hot". He is absolutely in amazing shape, probably still is, but Rod looks like he got smacked in the face with a hot frying pan. Doesn't mean people can't find him attractive, but he is not winning a contest for looks.

Well you're a guy and I wouldn't expect you to find Brind'Amour attractive. You don't have to win a contest to be a hottie. Again it's subjective.

That's the point, you don't need to find someone attractive to know if they are universally hot.

I would assume you're not attracted to men, but you would be able to list a bunch of men you know women find to be the hottest, right?

Is Steve Buscemi on that list? Why?

Teri Garr looks like Gwen Walz.

You don't have to be universally hot to be a hottie. As I explained and this will be the end of it for me, if we put 20 guys in a poll, the names would all be different. There are subsets in every category. For example there are tons of players in the hall of Fame in hockey but not every player is considered in Gretzky's class,

Terri Garr in her youth was very hot in my opinion.
