Has Mathew Barzal been the team's most disappointing forward through 10 games?

Not quite sure how this would be the topic of the current poll. I can think of at least 9 other forwards that would be ahead of him. How about the question of Lou being the most disappointing GM in the last three years. Handing out bad decision contracts and holding on to vets that we need to move on from.

This was a very odd question. Barzal is so far from the issue. Duclair being hurt has not helped Barzal and the team. Still not a great team even with Duclair.

When you're the highest paid player on the team the expectations are going to be much higher than if you're Casey Cizikas or Pierre Engvall.

Maybe the team is on information overload. The players seem to fit the coaches style of play but maybe they are trying to do too much?

Lou's plan to find scoring is .............................JAMES HAGENS. Keep the kid on the Island. Therefore, losing is the recipe. Then Lou hands the reigns to Chris.

This is true Chief. Just bigger issues right now. Is Pierre still with the team? I heard Bridge misses him.

Lou will pick the next Holmstrom and the islanders will snub another Long Island boy.

Lou could use a young David Conte on the Islanders.

He’s had zero points 5v5 so far which is quite surprising.
Hearing about an injury could explain this. I remember a few games ago he fell and slammed into the boards pretty hard and awkwardly. Shoulder?
That said the whole team is snake bit as far as scoring so I would say every forward is not getting it done scoring wise. Obviously your top offensive guys take the brunt of the blame
during these stretches so I get the blame placed on him. They have played pretty well except for scoring and they need to get a few ugly goals shooting and crashing the net. Pretty poop isn’t working.
Just want to say for me expecting Dobson to take the next step this year and elevate his game. He has been the biggest disappointment of any player on the team so far.

Lou was watching Columbus’ morning skate the other day. With the slow start, maybe Lou is looking to make a trade?

Unless he's trading veterans for futures, he'd be making a mistake if that were the case

Lou doesn’t strike me as the kinda guy who’s trading vets for futures 10 games in. But being that Duclair is down and now Barzal, the already anemic offense needs a spark. Wahlstrom certainly isn’t that spark. Hopefully he’s not trading the first for offensive help

He literally can't at this point. Every year that passes they get a little worse and it should be glaringly obvious that they're on their way down...not up.

I agree that he's not making that kind of trade 10 games in, but trading anything of value for a player to paper over the many holes in this roster would be a colossal mistake.
