Anyone who watches these games and comes away thinking they are a good team, on the right path, or have a bright future needs their heads examined. - furio16
The only thing harder to watch are the between periods and post game crew members |

They learned from the Torts grind clinic on Thursday. But the Blues creating way more offense than the flyers have lately. |

I do wonder what is the realistic expectation how many of the following fwds under the age of 25 will be here 2 yrs from now- Farabee, Frost, Tippett, Foerster, and Brink.
Certainly the fwds will need a makeover at some point.

In his post game Torts said Michkov made a free nice plays to set up offensive chances, translation we got no one on this team that can finish or even get a shot on net! It’s got to frustrating for Michkov to play on this team right now. Briere has got to cut bait with frost and bring a real center for this team. |

Michkov is not playing with Frost. Are you saying that Tortorellla is saying that Konecny can't finish? Tippett can't finish? Foerster can't finish? Farabee cant finish?Frost has been bad to this point in the season but he is far from the only player. What "real center" are the Flyers going to be able to get and why the hell should they do that? For what? Your comments continue to be asinine.

Frost played with Michkov and Tippet on at least a few shifts, and I agree that Michkov had some nice passes today that should have ended up in a couple of apples! Frost sucks!! Coots looks exhausted again after that initial shot of adrenaline he got when he started playing with Michkov. Coots was very lazy on that second Brooooooins goal. |

Michkov has not been playing regularly with Frost. He's been playing regularly with Couturier and Konecny. I'm not wrong. Frost is not the only player not playing well. If you want to be a fool and single him out. Knock yourself out. Konecny, Couturier, Frost, Tippet, Farabee and Foerester all need to be better and raise their game. |

Frost is leading the team in assists. Tippet has 1 goal in 12 games. Farabee has 2 goals and one was an empty netter. Foerster has 2 goals. You don't have much of a case to justify singling out Frost.

He is supposed to be the second line center on this team and he has ZERO goals in 12 games and is a whopping -11! You talk about this team being boring? Frost is the epitome of boring. The only thing exciting about Frosty is his hot Mom! |

Coots on that second goal by the Bruins. I imagine if Torts had his druthers he would bench him for a week. Doesn't get much weaker than that on the back check. |

The strength of this team is wing, which granted is backwards when attempting to rebuild into a contending team but none the less that’s what it is. The Flyers are not generating a ton of chances and to me that’s because of the lack of good center play. However too many times the Flyers are passing out of good shooting opportunities or they are missing the net. That’s on the wingers. |

Oh here we go, more useless stats designed to manipulate less informed people like yourself. How many of those assists are secondary? I recall one assist where Frost missed the net from the high slot and the puck luckily bounced off the boards onto TKs stick. Hardly on purpose. How many games this season where Frost has 0 points? That’s what matters! |

Frost is supposed to be the skilled center on this team that drives offense. Yet a 19 year old rookie winger drives way more expected goal chances than Frost. Frost loses almost every important ozone face off, that is when he’s not getting thrown out of the dot. He’s been given the chance on the first PP unit and playing with two good wingers. I’ve seen enough. Time to cut bait. I guarantee if the Flyers are out of playoff by Christmas, Frost will lead the team in scoring the second half of the year. Weeee! |

I'm spindoctoring? You post that Tippett has scored 1 goal in 12 games so he is somehow above Frost when it comes to criticism? You continue to be as dumb as dirt.

There are many factors to the Flyers struggling to score. Not bearing down on high danger chances. Center play. Lack of transition play by the defense and playing too conservatively as a team in order to try and compete. Which is on Tortorella.

Frost sits at 50.6% overall at faceoffs. He is at 54.8% on the PP and 51.2% overall on offensive zone faceoffs. Obviously your claim that loses almost every important ozone faceoff is not close to being accurate. There is tons of room for criticism in Frost's play to this point of the season but faceoffs is not one of them. It's just another situation where you've created a narrative and it doesn't matter what the facts say, you'll stick to it. Players you like will literally get years of slack cut by you but players you don't. Time to cut bait.
On the season XGF%
Michkov 58.88%
Frost 57.5%
Konecny 52.39% (face of the franchise)
Couturier 48.08%
Tippett 54.52%
Farabee 52.84%
By the way on an unrelated note. Ristolainen sucked like everyone else on the Flyers yesterday. McAvoy was dominant in the game. |
