That show was awesome, JD Fortune seemed destined for a huge career and rumour was he couldn’t stay away from drugs and INXS dropped him like a bad habit.
Replacing Michael Hutchesson was a tough assignment for anyone.
So was Rockstar Suoernova and Lucas Rossi who I think was from Toronto?

Both were from around here, yeah. I think Rossi was Toronto and Fortune was from Oakville - and yeah, he had a massive drug problem. It was so bad he didn't even know when the tour had ended.
I loved both shows. There's been nothing even remotely approaching it for talent and fun. Being more of a pop guy I did gravitate more towards the INXS one, but the Supernova had some insane talent as well. I think I would have gone with Jordis and Dilhana though - both of them were better than the ultimate winners.

As much as no one's going to believe this - I think that was a smart play by Reaves.
Rather than lose a defenseman, Benoit, to the box for 2 minutes - because the ref literally had no choice after doing (frank) all for 45 seconds but to take 2 and go 4 on 4 - he comes in and takes the hit for Benoit. |

First I've noticed Robertson all night and of course it's because he's lost his stick. |

That second call was BS, like how many times have guys run out our (frank)ing goalies, and we finally do something about it... |

Utter bullpoop. How many times do other teams stand up for their goalie after a guy hits them?
How often do you see that called?

And why didn't Robertson just go get a (frank)ing stick? He's not a defenseman or a center, you won't be missed for 7 seconds. |

He jumped on the goalie.
Seriously.
Every team defends their goalie.
They don't get a penalty for it most of the time and pretty much never when they've already got a penalty coming. |

Just like every other team does when their goalie gets run. It’s a bullpoop call. |

Right? Watching him flail around out there was embarrassing. He's utterly useless without a stick and can't play defense with one. Just get off the ice and let a good player come on the ice for you.

I was yelling at the TV (at Robertson) to do that the entire time he was without a stick.
Most players without a stick are utterly usless. I’m of the opinion that they should just give the other team a 10 second man advantage & get a new stick - its not like they don’t have an advantage already if you don’t have a stick. |

I’m not disputing your analysis. I’m just telling you why he got the extra two.

I know what you're doing. I can tell you that we, all of us here in this forum, know the rules of hockey - and we are all very aware that what OEL did should be called a penalty by an NHL referee.
What the exposition here is trying to note is that it is never called. When you hit the goalie and the defenseman gives you a little bit of what-for for your actions, the refs ignore it because you have it coming.
So when you tell me why he got the extra two, I'll tell you that he got the extra two because of the crest on the front of his jersey, not his actions.
