Being paired with Z really helped him early on, but it may have also masked some deficiencies in his game.

Listen, I love the Islanders, I have been a fan for close for 45 years. I have seen the cup years on through to this mess. I want nothing more for this team to succeed.

However, this group cannot do it on a consistent basis. It is time for the GM to put heart and loyalty aside and do what is for the betterment of the team and its future. However, I do not have the confidence in the current GM to make these decisions.

Yes, there have been some key injuries. It seems as though the team has been bitten by the injury hard the past few seasons. But that is also a sign. You need to look at those players. A decision should be made.

I also, believe Roy is the right guy and he is being handcuffed by Lou. Roy is a competitor. He has the fire to complete. I believe is given the reigns he could right the ship and shorten the reconstruction.

This team after yesterday's defeat now sit 13th in the conference. They sit 7th out ten teams for the two wildcard spots.
