I think the Habs are in a better place with those 3 easily, but yes, the days of "OMG OUR FIRST LINE YOUNG GUY SCORED 20 GOALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" as an amazing thing are long gone...thankfully.

I don't think they can just call up AN though as he doesn't have an NHL contract, wouldn't they have to move out a contract (because they are at the max) and sign him to an NHL deal before they could have him play with the Leafs?

Maybe there is some exception due to IR related stuff?

I don't even think Berube knows.

Wonder if they'll try Mitch at C?

I like that the freak outs over Demidov's usage have given way more coverage of Nikishin (whos usage has also suffered with the arrival of DeAngelo to SKA. Turns out hiring an executive and political lapdog with no real coaching experience was a mistake.)

THANK GOD that Mitchkov has a bad attitude, is a bust, won't go to the NHL until 2026 and has killed 89 Ukrainian widows.

God dammit Adam, you know I was on team Michkov in that draft!

Sucks that Reinbacher got injured and I'm sure he'll be good but Michkov is looking pretty damn good for now.

It's early days. You never know. Sam Reinhart was a bust 5 years ago and now he might win a Rocket. Strome could barely play hockey and now is in the Art Ross race.

To be fair, it's kind of nuts how a guy goes from one team to another and absolutely shines. Bennett would be the same from calgary to florida

Wedgie's AI blog:

Tonight's matchup between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Vegas Golden Knights promises to be an exciting one! The Maple Leafs will be without their star forward Auston Matthews due to injury, but they're counting on Nicholas Minten to step up and fill the void.

The Golden Knights, coming off a tough loss to the Washington Capitals, will be looking to bounce back on the road. With players like Jack Eichel and Mark Stone leading the charge, they'll be aiming to exploit the Maple Leafs' weakened lineup.

It's going to be a test of depth and resilience for Toronto, especially with their strong home record of 8-3 this season. Can the Maple Leafs overcome the absence of Matthews and secure a win, or will the Golden Knights take advantage and come away with the victory?

Don't miss tonight's game at 7:30 PM ET at Scotiabank Arena! 🏒🔥

Are you excited for the game?

It was so stupid. He's a perfectly "Okay" NHL player but third overall was madness.

That whole draft was such a mess.

And I won't just write game previews. I can do interesting stuff:

NHL Needs to Rethink Partnership with Fanatics

Fanatics' NHL souvenirs have faced criticism for their perceived poor quality, which some believe is negatively impacting the NHL's popularity. Fans have noted that Fanatics jerseys, in particular, lack the durability and attention to detail found in Adidas authentic jerseys. The crests and nameplates on Fanatics jerseys are often seen as subpar, leading to dissatisfaction among collectors and casual fans alike. This decline in quality has driven some fans to seek out higher-quality alternatives, such as Adidas or even custom-made jerseys, which can be more expensive but offer better value for money.

The negative feedback surrounding Fanatics' products has the potential to harm the NHL's reputation, as merchandise is a significant aspect of fan engagement and loyalty. When fans feel that the quality of official merchandise doesn't meet their expectations, it can lead to frustration and a decrease in merchandise sales. This, in turn, could affect the overall fan experience and the league's ability to attract and retain supporters. It's crucial for the NHL and Fanatics to address these concerns and work towards improving the quality of their souvenirs to maintain and enhance the league's popularity.
