So apparently Dubas told teams everyone is available but Crosby for player in and player out deals

Haven’t really looked too hard but any one of interest?

Lots of term on deals but we know Tre is not scared of that

Old? Same age as Tavares.

If they can sign Reaves for 3 years, they can handle Acciari.

At least Acciari can still play hockey.

- Rare_Jewel

Ok. So then we dont need more old players and I wasnt a fan of signing Reaves either.
Ellers is what, 35? Pass.
Acciari isnt bad at 32 I believe with 2 years left at $2m.

He'll be fine at 35 because he only has this year left on his deal. He's basically a rental which the Leafs always get at the deadline anyway.

Eller has one year left, who cares.

He is a good player, would be an upgrade over Kampf that is for certain.

From what Ive heard on sports radio, Berube is a fan of holmberg and hes only 25.
I dont see Tre moving him just yet.
Tre extended Kampf, not sure he moves him just yet.

But we'll see.
Lots of time between now and TDL.

Maybe Tre cares. Not sure he would want to cough up a 25 and a 29 year for Ellers.

Maybe a 3rd or 4th at the deadline.

Who knows, we'll see.

Holmberg absolutely sucks. And he's tiny.

When was the last time you listened to the radio (who the (frank) listens to the radio anymore by the way?) and heard a coach publicly say he hated a player and he sucked? He's pumping his tires but he objectively stinks.

Kampf has been a playoff pylon for years. Absolutely end of experiment on that guy.

A lot of people listen to sports radio, where do you think santos heard that dubas was open for business? It was literally said on the radio mins before he posted it.
And it was several Leafs hockey analyst that said Tre and Berube seem to be fans. But that was a while ago doesnt mean he cant be traded. I just wouldnt for a 35 years eller.
I have no concerns moving of off Kampf.

They can leave Jarnkrok alone on LTIR and with Pacioretty on IR, I don't think they have to do anything - they'd have 13 forwards, 2 goalies and 8 defense - including Hakanpaa.

But they will have to do something soon. The, perhaps, obvious move when Pacioretty is ready (assuming it's 2-3 weeks for a hamstring) is to demote Myers
and they'd be fine as well - but when Jarnkrok is ready, someone will have to go - and it'll be one of Holmberg, Dewar, Reaves or Robertson, I'd imagine. I'd put Lorentz, McMann and Kampf on the outside of the bubble due to either how well they've played, size or role.

The thing is - and I commented on it earlier - the longer they stay in LTIR, the less capspace they will have at the TDL.

I would do this just to get Kampfs contract off the books for the remainder of his 2 or 3 years left.

I might be the only one who likes Reaves on our roster, not as an everyday player, but to be the guy to drop the gloves so more useful players don't have to, and can actually win a fight. Reaves in the box for 5 is so much more appealing than McCabe (for example)

Absolutely nobody fears him anymore. All kinds of dirty stuff happens whether he's in the line-up or not. I'd rather have a team built like a pack of wolves than have one goon who is washed who plays 5 min a game for half a season.

You want a goon? Fine. Get a goon. But get one who isn't 37 / 38. And who can play hockey the rest of the time he's not gooning.

Don'y know if I have ever known the answer to this and could sound dumb...since they are allowed a 23 man roster, why can't the "dress" a 23 man roster instead of line juggling in the event of an in-game injury while the extra guys are in the press box?

Is there some kooky NHL logic to this rule that I don't understand?

Basketball has a super long bench with players that don't see the court.
Soccer, same.
Football, same.
Baseball, kinda...at least to the extent that if a player is injured it doesn't completely (frank) up the game.

I saw Bob Dylan, backed by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, at the CNE in 1988.

Bob and Tom were absolutely wasted, and didn't give two poops about the audience.

Let's just say that neither of them were in my good books for a long, long time.

P.S. I've tried several times to find a concert review. Maybe I'll frank around this morning and try again.

You really should check out the July 4th show on that tour in Buffalo. There's a DVD recording of it. It's great. They were actually backing up the Grateful Dead and completely stole the show. Dylan was at his best.
