Reaves gets 5-10 games. Intent is impossible but it was a head shot. Nurse was seeing birdies before he landed on the ice. It will not help his cause that Leaf-hater Jennifer Botterill was condemming him on HNIC with her high pitched squeals. I don't expect leniency or kindness from goon Parros. Missing Reaves will have minimal effect on the Leafs IMO. Hope Nurse is ok. - winsix
I feel because of our market and the attention they always go hard at our players to set a precedent or example for the rest of the League. Nurse had his head down/ not watching the play around him in a contact league, he has to take some blame, and it shouldn't be ignored that the visor meant to protect a.player is what caused the bleeding and most damage in this case. it's time to go full visor/cage whatever.

The good news for the Leafs (and bad news for poopbag no income franchises) is that the cap will be going up significantly. $92.5 to $97M next year according to Friedman. Hard to see the Leafs not re-signing him. - winsix

Reaves suspension will be 5 game max since the meeting is via phone. Guessing 2-3 games but we’ll see *shrugs*

If the cap is indeed going up like EF suggests, and JT taking some form pay cut, no problems signing Marner and Knies. Somehow ditch Kampf, Jamrock, Benoit contracts and we're sitting pretty. Trade Robertson for and picks you can get. It's looking like it's never going to work with him here and other guys are passing him a la McMann and eventually Cowen will need to get a look.

Gotta say, me too. For once, in as long as I can remember, our D has some good size and can actually play. I expect him to address the bottom 6 forwards at some point but the top 6 is set solid. Max P was looking like a great add but with his history of injuries the last few years he just can't be counted on. Robertson value isn't high but if he can package him with another prospect and bring in a tough but can play bottom 6 player or even just some draft picks get 'er done

Worst contract on the team, at the moment seems to be Domi. At 3.75M he's been terrible this year, he would be hard to move. Robertson will likely be traded this year, but I don't expect the Leafs will get much for him. Jarnkrok will probably cost to unload. Leafs are super thin at C, so not sure if they can move Kampf until they have something better. I can see Cowan getting into the lineup in March.

To me it's Kampf and Jamrock. Domi can at least bring physical play and would be of value in the playoffs. He can slot most anywhere in the line up. Completely agree though about moving Kampf and Jamrock. Hopefully Tre can add some size at center for depth.

Love Larkin Poe - dmnted
Same here. Saw them play with the Dirty Knobs. They were fantastic. Fun fact, they are named after their great-great-great grandfather - Larkin Poe, cousin of Edgar Allan.

Jarnkrok can play up and down the line up and can produce.

I think it might be a 4 year deal if the Leafs get their way. He's only 22 and a 4 year deal makes him an RFA at the end of the contract. - winsix
8 year deal may go away in the next CBA
I would lock him up for 8 years instead of 4 as a 4 year deal maybe less $$ but that next deal will in 8M range I believe.
Lock at Lafrenière deal with the Rangers. Mind you it's only for 7 years but it's close to what I think Knies will get/ask.
