Just from this board, you can really see which fans can stomach a rebuild and which ones can't. |

Which one of those teams did that? - BetweenTheDots
Not saying they did. I'm saying the Hawks can. They have poop tons of prospects, and more picks coming.
Stop signing old placeholders and go after real players. No reason not to. |

Yeah, this wasn't a great game for him. Keep in mind that they are very depleted of talent at the moment with Kaiser, Crevier, Nazar, and Dach with the Hawks. The forwards yesterday were a nightmare in both zones. - Chunk
I saw a few flashes in the 3rd from him. Seems almost lazy at times. Especially when you see him really move randomly. |

I'm sure KD would be getting a lot more grief if he drafted Cayden Lindstrom. |

That is where i have an issue with this team. Soda has played really well when Mrazek was on the shelf same with S Jones. It makes the young players question you've got to earn your playing time and when those 2 come back they insert them with no regard to a 3 game winning streak. |

They aren't going to sit Jones if healthy. It's just not going to happen regardless of what the team is doing.
Mrazek and Soda were basically alternating starts and both were playing quite well in the first 30 games or so. Sorenson just said that starts will be merit based and now Soda is getting his second straight start.
I would get used to more vets playing in place of kids for the next month or so as KD looks to move a few of them out to contenders, then you'll get more kids into the lineup. There have been a couple of reports that trades might pick up earlier with the 4N tournament shifting timelines a little. |

When you accumulate several high-end talents. Looks like they have one so far. |

Seems they have plenty of assets to trade for a couple. |

I'm going to die laughing when Rinzel turns out better than KK and Lev. Just the whole pedigree argument makes it funny to me. |

They look pretty good in D prospects to me, at least as far as depth goes. Decent chance at a real Top Four. They need one of them to become an obvious #1, no matter who it is.... |

They didn't need to play him for 25 minutes |

I don't understand why that would be funny, isn't that what you want?
I may be wrong but my guess is you'd be willing to trade any or all of them right now so we were more competitive today
Faber does look better than Clarkec right now. |

Idk. Really the first time I’ve seen him play as a pro. Nothing seems overly impressive about him. Just made an observation I have no narrative. I loved the pick. |

There you go Mo, they will have a good set of defensemen, I’m sure one of them will turn into a good #1 and it doesn’t matter who it is. |

Right now starting Soderblom is the right call. He has had the better season overall and especially lately.
He has started 15 games and in 8 of those he has held them to 1-2 goals against. He has only given up more than 3 goals twice this season so far. He is often giving them a chance to win if they can manage to get their offense above that 2 to 2.5 goal hurdle.
Just for comparison for now, Mrazek has started 23 games, held them to 2 or less 9 times and got tagged for more than 3 goals 7 times, but 5 of those times were in December with him struggling. |

Nice Apple by Bedard and tap by Bertuzzi.
Edit: I get to watch the 'Hawks on today. |

Same. Nice play by Bedard winning the puck and then great pass.
Sloppy passing otherwise. |

Nazar should maybe start shooting the puck more at this level, instead of trying to make the perfect play ... this happened shortly before the Rangers' goal - where he had a break into the zone .... dangled all over the place, didn't shoot the puck, lost an edge - lost the puck - and resulted in the zone entry that ultimately ended up in the NYR goal (not counting the icing right before it). |

Lots of falling down, Bertuzzi on the PP, Richardson, Nazar, think it was Kaiser too. Something about that side of the ice…
Errors led to two goals- TT inexplicably ices the puck and then they can’t get it out, then Smith makes a terrible turnover followed by another turnover.
These errors are by veterans. Maybe it’s time to let the kids play more. |

Man, down 4-1, I'd be considering swapping the goalies. |
