My best guess:
Up to CHI: Nazar, Dach, Slaggert
Return to ROC: Ludwinski, Hayes, Savoie
In from college: Moore, Greene, Thompson, James, Rinzel, Harding(?)
In from OHL: Misiak, Lardis, Pharand
Out (no room): Guttman, Luypen, Marcel
Draft: 2-3-3-3-3, Misa or Martone - Magical Mystery Tour (NHL 9 games, AHL, World Juniors, OHL). Hagens would go to BC.
2025-26: Kantserov, Vanacker, Spellacy, Boisvert, Felcman, Pridham(?), Henry - overloaded, some guys will be up to the NHL or out
Wonder if Kantserov could come over a year early and play in the AHL next year. - totem
Powers already mentioned that the Hawks have no plans to bring him over early. |

Probably (hopefully) pretty close to being right.
Everything that I've read about Kantserov said that there is almost no chance that he'll come over before his contract is up in 2026.
Not sure if there are any extenuating circumstances, but Vanacker and Spellacy will only be 19 next year, so I don't think they can play in the AHL?
Edit: I wouldn't be surprised if Aidan Thompson signed as well. He's been playing well in Denver this year. Might have a little more juice if the Hawks sign Carle to coach the team. |

Right - oops, should have titled that line 2026-27, the years are just flying by here. Fall of 2026 where the real forward logjam begins.
Think they will have to find spots for Thompson and James as they have had such good college years.

Small point but this year's guy in June likely won't be eligible. It's going to take some time for newbies to adjust to the heavy AHL style of play. - rpeters01
Maybe... Nazar seemed to adjust very quickly and he is on the smaller side. NCAA hockey can be pretty physical. Not sure someone like Greene is going to need a lot of time to adjust to the physicality.
If anything, its adjusting to the speed of the game. Nazar had no problem with that in the AHL. It's one of the reasons he is up with the NHL club already. |

I could see Moore staying if he is promised top line minutes and top PP time. I believe he plays 2nd or 3rd line at Minn right now because there is so much talent on the team.

Yeah, this is where I think KD is going to start having some issues. When so many guys are pushing to get into the AHL or NHL, and they don't necessarily have the spots for them.
There are so many things up in the air at the moment:
Who will be the coach next year?
Who will be moved out at the TDL?
What will come back in those deals?
Will Nazar/Dach/KK/Kaiser/Crev/Allan show enough to maintain their spots on the team, or will they get pushed back or traded?
So many moving parts the second half of the year and into the offseason. KD's going to have to make sure that he has a solid plan in place. |

As you stated, they don’t test for it (and haven’t in years) thus you don’t see anyone sitting for 10 days. They shortened it to 5 days btw in late 2021. They don’t test for either illness. The player simply returns when he feels better. Your ignorance is showing. It’s not 2021 anymore. Please get back to Hockey wizardofignorance - Assman22
Explains why Laine missed over a week for "flu like symptoms" already this year and just recently came back. Your name is appropriate for you ass. And the 2022-2023 NHL covid protocol doc still has 10 days, and it was carried forward by the league.
The teams that don't want it tested is not in hockey. Nice Assumption. The NHL is supposed to test for it. |

I just hope they continue to play Jones 16 to 18 minutes a night, like they did last night |

I wouldn't count on it. My guess is they curb his minutes for a few games, then raise them back up as long as he doesn't completely poop the bed.
Vlasic is getting run ragged out there. He's making more mistakes with the extra time out there. They need to make sure the minutes are more equally distributed. |

Let the kids get the minutes, the experience is good for them. It's not like they are better with Jones or Brodie in the line up. |

Hope they bench him for that awful game last night against the flames and send a message that's unacceptable. Jones has been awful since has come back from injury. If he his still injured sit Jim until he is fully recovered. |

You’re basically giving up three firsts and two seconds for Barzal, as both Moore and KK were first round picks. |

Something else would have come back on islanders part. Doubt Hawks would do yhiĺl this deal but my point about this hypothetical trade is Hawks need to considered a move like this is it an overpay yes maybe take Moore out of the trade proposal |

Agreed on they need to overpay to get the right young NHL studs to fill out the top 6. That was a crazy overpay but the idea behind is right. Hawks have too much draft capital on hand and on deck. |

I guess we'd have to give up something big to get Petterson. There is one player on each of those proposals I wouldn't want to lose, but it they aren't included the Canucks wouldn't be interested.
The Canucks have stated they want a center back in trade, and I don't think we have anyone that would interest them

First of all Vancouver is going to want established players not prospects. Second, I hope like hell Davidson doesn’t entertain the idea of trading for a regular season softie like Petterson, especially all the prospects suggested in this article. If you’re overpaying, overpay for a guy you want, a guy who can play in all situations. |

Petterson a couple of years ago has said he wants to play on a contender. We'd be trading for another Jones in essence

It would be irresponsible to trade Lev. We need to build a solid blue line. Trade them Jones. They still save money on the deal. |
