Why bring Zegras in here? So he can be a healthy scratch by LR. - BetweenTheDots
I think it might be better to swing some draft capital for a player like Zegras.
If they could do something like the Tor1st + DelMastro or another 2nd rd pick instead of 3rdReichel/DelMastro I'd do that too. Nobody is gonna trade a Zegrad type for 3rd and 4th round picks.
A change in scenery might do Zegras good? He had two nice seasons and for whatever reason last year and this year he has been a bit off. |

He was injured most of last year... and the Ducks are really bad. |

Forgot that he was injured last year.
The two seasons prior to that the Ducks were bad but he still had nice stats. I know pts aren't everything in hockey, but the few times I tuned into a Ducks game to see him play he seemed like a solid hockey player.
The Tor pick will be in the 20s. I think now might be the time to use some of their draft picks as currency and take a swing or two.
After the Guentzel talk last year,I'm pretty sure they are going to try and go after a big FA this offseason if the Marners/Ehlers/Raantanens make it to FA. |

From Bleacher Nation. CHSN app coming Friday and there will be no charge for the rest of the season. Enjoy! I’m out of market so I use ESPN +…
Edit - that’s a fail, that app should have been ready to go at the start of the season. - Angotti
The way i read it its a seven day free trial for everyone then 19.99/mo. Season ticket holders have free access for the rest of the season. |

$19.99 a month is too much
$9.99 and I'd probably do it for the Blackhawks
I read the same thing somewhere, season ticket holders will get it free this season. |

I'd still take it at 19.99. Beats the heck out of paying 170 a month for Comcast. They bumped NBC Chicago up to the premium tier and bet they'll do the same for CSN. The Blackhawks were the sole reason I had cable while paying for Max, Disney+ (ESPN+&Hulu bundle), Amazon Prime and Netflix.

One-time $25 antenna for the Hawks. It's kind of a PITA, but it's really not that difficult (even though I female doged when I first got it). Good quality and you don't need to continually spend money on it. I know everyone wants to be connected all the time and watch the game on their phones, but I've really warmed up to it. I'm not spending another dime on the team.
I think if the team(s) would have pushed that option harder before the season started, they'd have a good number more people watching and a little less complaining (only a little). |

Yeah Chunk I'm loving the antenna too. We have it set up in the master bedroom so wifey hates it for late night games like tonight against Seattle. I was shocked how many channels I can watch on free TV. It'll be nice sitting at relatives houses watching the games too on the app. |

Only problem is the Hawks don't have Marcus Kruger anymore to trade for him.
- HawkintheDWonder if the Pens would take Crevier, AA and a 3rd rounder for him.🤔
Kruger's gotta be a UFA .... dominoes will fall, I tellya. :D Sign him fast before someone works it out... |

There was an earlier article on BN stating that it was free until the end of the season, then a new article stating only a seven day free trial.
- Edit- that’s what I thought was there, maybe I misread… |

Sure Zegras could provide some scoring. So too could two prospects possibly both as soon as next season. I say those are Nazar and Lardis. Lardis could even.be fast tracked and he can learn and work on his overall game at the NHL level. But what KD needs .most is a larger size player who can win board battles and will play a two way game. This kind or type player alternating with Bertuzzi on top two lines means creation of two legitimate scoring lines. Vanaker would be a great add to one of the top two lines when he is ready. I am encouraged knowing that he has played with Lardis so there might be chemistry on their line.
I really want to see KD draft a top forward '25
I would be willing to peddle the second #1 '25 plus Kurashev for a good boards forward. However might take to also surrender a prospect like Moore for a legitimate power forward type. Alternative is even a strong boards player only a L3 calbre could move up to Bedard line until someone else comes along.
KD job approval is going to be predicated on a. Coaching and players who enable Bedard to succeed. Just do not trade Rinzal to accomplish your objective |

His name is Foligno. Lardis is likely going to have to prove he can produce going against bigger and faster players. From what I've seen so far, I think he can, but it's all potential until he does it.
He seems like an ADB type to me. Everyone says he's too small and can't do those things at the top level, but he'll just find a way to do it. He is really good at finding those open areas and getting high quality shots off.
Vanacker is close to returning from a shoulder injury. Hopefully he can get back up to speed quickly.

FYI - looks like I oversold the Flosports app that I am using to watch the Icehogs now. They do not carry any of the main Canadian junior leagues (OHL, WHL, etc). They also have only limited college games.
From what I've searched, they have pretty much all of the USHL games and obviously all the Icehog games, and again a host of other U17, U18, etc leagues. |

If I'm buying low, and because of his production, you have to assume you are buying low, I'm not giving up a #1 plus.
How do you know that league has figured him out and this is who he is?

Hey Chunk,
Would be interesting to see your evaluation of the consistency and physicality when useful in the performance of Del Maestro and Crevier. If either is to stick in the NHL on a bottom pair, then their game must be consistent strong defensively Also the skating issue for Del Maestro somewhat overblown due to the way he plays |

Wow wow another young forward on the Dallas Stars
They have plenty of top young guns
Stankoven aboard last year
Now O Back, forward 3rd round a couple years ago out of Sweden. Checked out has good size and first goal tonight. Dallas scouting and Nill, their GM, have been making lots of good picks

I know you like him, but Crevier plays like a guy who is just happy to be there. Wasn’t really impressed.
EDM is playing right now like Vlasic. He kills plays on the wall and breaks them up as guys try to enter the zone. Not super fast but seems to be in position a lot of the time. He’s activating on offense as well. |

Crevier doesn’t seem to be progressing but see if he looks better later in the season. I really like a lot about Del Maestro’s game and somewhat impressed he was the Icehogs All Star as a rookie pro last year. But someone had to be an All Star from each team! Just more and more rep’s and at some point (years experience) he could step into pro game and stick as reliable third pair who does most everything well but not great. Will be physical too |

I’m thinking that Seattle has a little more speed than the Hawks. I’m all for development, however if a player(Nazar)seems ready, you have to bring him up. |

The fancies will not look very good tomorrow, however the defense is keeping them to the outside. Vlasic did not look good against the Wings, but man, other than that he’s been a beast. |
