The Hockey News is touting Misa as the Hawks first round pick. 100 points in 47 games. Then he goes out and gets a hat trick in the next game. Bedard-Misa-Lardis?
No defense but a lot of offense.

Bamford had Misa to CHI in his draft also. I kind of liked this mock, although I would take Ravensbergen with the TOR pick. Thought Gastrin played well in the Gretzky-Hlinka last year so to me he would be a bargain at the top of Round 2. Don't know anything about Horcoff, big C from Michigan that he has to CHI late round 2.

Watched a bit of the Ice Hogs last night to see Levshunov.

Dude can move!
He's big,but moves extremely well.
The size and the way he moves reminds me a lot of Doughty and Ekblad.
Not saying he's going to be as good as Doughty/Ekblad or anything, but the physical attributes are totally there. Not sure what his hockey IQ is,but he seems to have the important things to be a good #1 or really really good #2.

I make sure we see the grandkids four times a year, and the Texas kids are due here in March. Those tow are going to be 8 & 13 , so I need to see them before they are not bothering to talk to me.
The LA clan is more touching as my daughter just booked weekend gig sandwiched around when we were gonna fly them out for their Spring break.
My Favorite grankid is California's Zoë Dylan
, who told us in facetime this week that when she is grown she going to live by or with us. (To me this is the ultimate compliment, as my wife has trouble commiting to tho this!, lol)
I held back in replying when you are old enough to make your own living choices, we will be the prefect age to need someoen to change our diapers.
I think the biggest reason we were ablbe to go to the warmth of St. Pete, is that they weren't boarn when we we did, and they weren't goibg toi be in the Chicago area if we still were.

On to hockey:
I am taking a break as the mock draft is still a work in progress but everyday it gets a bit more structered.

I haven't read that article on misa, but I am starting to see how his versatility is the biggest plus.
I mean he is the guy I would be happy to see there at slot #3, and would have no problems if the Hawks took him #2 3, or 4 ... but I will be looking in the rearview mirroe from that day one at Martone and Hagens.

There is little to not like about his all around game, period.

I think they are in a terrific spot wheter the win or lose the lottery be casue all can help the Blackhawks.

I'm with you Wiz, besides i think they have a lot more to offer any team that is rebuilding than a playoff contender without giving up a top 4 pick.

I didn't think that goal was that soft.
It was open season for Guentzel.

Start of the game was hilarious

Anyone paying attention the Hogs game?

2 goals
2 assists
12 PIM

Thought he might have had a double Gordie Howe hat trick (is there such a thing?), but it wasn't two fights, it was a 10 minute misconduct.

Matthew picked a fight with Hagel. Not exactly a heavyweight.

Staged fights to start meh. US wins bc have better goalie.

Canada really missed Makar.

The US defense was outstanding. I think the fighting was in the American‘s game plan. Matthews and Torts both commented on how quickly Canada came out after the Swedes and said they had to slow or stop that momentum. Personally I have no problem if it was strategic. M. tkachuk isn’t much of a scrapper, so going after Hagel was pretty even.

Makar sucks, I can think of zero defensemen in the world that are better than him.
Hope Boston doesn’t boo the Canadian anthem, show them political issues don’t belong in sports.

Why would Americans boo Canada? No problem with the booing our anthem. I can understand why Canadians are a bit insulted.

I agree it was but Canadas backend wasn’t particularly good. Doughty looks his age. With no Makar Canada probably the worst backend?

Yeah I don’t think it was appropriate.
