Keep us posted on our two boys on Brantford.
- Angotti

The winner tonight was...me.

I got to see Lardis score three, now has 49 and 100 points, and Vanaker blocked some shots, scored a PP goal and hit the post when they pulled the goalie...

Lardis second behind Misa in OHL points over a 100....and leads all CHL players in goals.

Brantford has lost 4 games in 2025.

Lardis has an NHL release and shot. I think Vanacker already plays an NHL game, he’s always in the thick of things.

Glad Bedard isn’t in the tourney. Jack Hughes is getting rag dolled.

I will be rooting for the Red, White, and Blue tonight, but make no mistake, Makar coming back is huge for Canada. He is hands down the best defenseman in the world.
- Angotti

I'm rooting for the team that represents a country that doesn't have a vice president who travels to Germany telling their political establishment that they need to give a platform to Nazi sympathizers. A country without a president who demonizes immigrants and the Trans community for political gain. I didn't make this game political, Trump did, by threatening one of the best allies this country has ever had.

Can’t protect him, this tournament would certainly grow his game especially playing with and against such good players.

Knies and Donato’s stats are very similar this year, however Knies is bigger, younger and overall a better player than Donato. If I’m not mistaken he plays with Mathews, so his stats could be skewed. The Hawks will be a lottery team again next year, so I’m on the fence as far as giving up the Hawks first for him. Also, with the cap going up, I doubt that Toronto lets Knies go, especially with Tavares’ cap hit going away or being largely reduced. Bottom line, yes I’d like to see the Hawks acquire Knies, but depends on cost.
- Angotti

Hawks will NOT be a lottery team next year with all due respect Angotti. They’ll have no choice but to load up regardless of cost this summer to be a contender. Just reality of the situation with ownership, rebuild, tv contracts, etc. Acquire Knies for top 6 power forward and ask questions later

So you’re rooting for Canada who’s leader quit on them and left them for dead while Mexico’s lady presidente is standing up for her values/beliefs and owning the situation instead of being a cowardly female dog?! Wow good for you Diesel! Douche!

Just don't see it. Stan proved that doesn't work and that was with Kane, Toews, Keith, Saad, and Seabs going downhill.

What kind of BS are you spouting? Trudeau had to fall on his sword, and it had nothing to do with the US or Trump. If he didn't the Liberals would end up with Mondale type results next election.

Actually Trudeau stepping down was a smart way to hopefully get Carney in as leader. Trudeau had no chance at getting re-elected and Freeland was too associated with him to get elected. Carney saved our asses in the 2008 bank meltdown.

Ya, though even with Carney it sounds like the best they could hope for next election is a minority government, again. He is the man this country needs to lead it. His interview with John Stewart was great.

Great hockey last night. On the ESPN feed, it seemed like the booing of the Canadian anthem (which this American has always enjoyed - the anthem, not the booing of it!)) was minimal. If so, I'm happy to hear that. I am wondering if ESPN played with the sound to make it appear that way or if the feed in Canada was any different.

The better team one last night like they almost always do. I didn't expect anything less.

It was great for the sport of hockey, the NHL, and the Tkachuk bros taking the tourney over. THe outcome is always the same......we beat Canada when it doesn't matter, social media/players act like we won the tourney, face them again for skins and $hit the bed. That HAS to change IF Hockey wants to take the next step otherwise we get these fun flashes like 2010 or Oshie in 2014 or the 4 nations.

IF I am USA hockey I am seriously considering NOT bringing Jack Hughes to Italy. That kid.....well if he's hurt maybe he has an excuse, but refused to engage, floated, and put up 1 assist in 4 games while being counted on to help this team. It wasn't a story because of how damn well the Tkachuk bros and Guentzel did but when Sean McDonough is calling you OUT during a game.....yikes.

Eichel, Matthews, Hughes, Miller.....0 goals between them. If those boys were Canadian, they'd be launched into the sun.

Eichel was very good for large portions of the tourney. He's really morphed into a well rounded 2 way player. His skate deflection on the PK was amazing.....insane hockey IQ.

Matthews had a very solid game until OT....couldn't finish 3 different times, lost a key faceoff, and floated away from McDavid and it cost them.

Congrats to Canada. By far not their best effort from a lot of their guys, and likely left a lot of better players home...so that gap talent wise/results wise isn't going to get any better for the USA next February. I love Miracle, but like the 85 Bears....lets curb that.....it was fun for this, but it's ran it's course.

Now to watch and hope for some savvy KD trades and a top 4 pick in the draft and a LEGIT top 3 player for Bedard to skate with in 2025-26.....

Kudos to the people of Boston, they booed the Canadian players and not the anthem. I was very disappointed the people in Montreal booed the American anthem.

Marner had a great series because he was a complimentary player that the US weren’t focused on, he was able to play his game with no fear of being hit. When he has time and space and no one’s keying on him he’s a very good two way player. In the playoffs when the opposition game plan is to neutralize him he’s scared poopless and useless. If he’d accept a contract that addresses him being a complimentary player I’d be all for the Hawks trying to acquire him but $14M per over seven years would be a horrendous contract for a regular season superstar.

100% agreed....and Marner flashed and disappeared from time to time in the series like Matthews and Hughes. MacKinnon and McDavid you knew were on the ice just like the Tkachuks.

I think the key for Davidson is finding that guy who can push Bedard's ceiling and not go hide when this team starts to become an annual contender for the cup. I don't know who that is exactly, but this tourney, while a VERY short sample size, really shed some light on guys who sack up and guys who look to pass.

Too many passengers on team USA and the Hawks desperately need more drivers because Bedard can't do it alone.

I like Nazar a lot but why does he remind me of a Versteeg type player?

Been to Montreal and it's gorgeous and from what I have heard it's as close to Europe as you can get without being in Europe, but being from the states.....it was not a warm reception...and I was there in the summer or fall and never attended a Habs game.

Have NEVER gotten that reception having been to a lot of Ontario. Want to get out to BC, Alberta, and Winnipeg.
