Nylander for Lafferty. It's not much, but he at least he might have the capability to do that.

Think we could have got more for Henri.

Good point, I was trying to think of trades he made and completely forgot about this one. And it’s to my point, he has to make some trades that benefit the Hawks. And his free agency signings have to be better than the ones he made last summer. I want to see KD succeed, if he’s let go the new GM will have a completely different vision which may or may not work.

I'm actually praying they don't get the #1. I really don't want to hear everyone female dog that they needed to take a forward when the BPA is a D-man.

My ideal is that the Hawks stay at #2 and then go full Ditka and trade the rest of their draft (and maybe a pick next year) to get the #3OA and they take Misa and Martone. Just go get two high quality prospects and get at it. If a team is willing to give up a high producing established player for all those extra picks, I'm happy with that too.

If KD makes 9 picks in the next draft, I think I'm gonna puke.

Wouldn't mind them trading their pick next year, as long as it is top 2 or 3 protected? Even if you improve next season and end up with the 10th best odds to land McKenna you gotta save that chance. Could you imagine the backlash of trading an unprotected 1st round pick and then landing #1 and not being able go draft McKenna

I still can't figure out what he does but Allan,DelMastro or Korch can't do.

If this team hasn't already started to contact agents of FA coaches then mgmt should be let go as well.

Vegas just scored again 5-1.
This one has already gotten ugly.

Smith, Kurashev, Maroon line -2 for first period.

Why not have a look at Reichel, Guttman and Savoie next game?

I swore i was done posting on this site.

But I am going to say again what I said a month ago. There is a fundamental issue in this front office. There is no direction and no leadership.

Agents around the league have rated the Blackhawks front office as the worst in the league. And I knew this over a year ago, after talking to an agent that represents several NHL players.

The whole Seth Jones situation has been allowed to fester, especially after Foligno was awarded with the "C". Seth Jones has been nothing but a problem in that locker room. Several veterans are mentally checked out, and some the young players don't know what to think of it.

If they had a G.M. that knew what he was doing, he would have stripped Jones of his "A", and every time he mouths off to the media, he should be sent to the press box for a few games, or call it an "injury" and sit him until they find a trade partner that can absorb his contract.

And contrary to what the hockey geniuses say here, Seth Jones has value in this league. 6"4' Right handed defensemen that can skate and score well are in short supply, no matter his compete level on one of the worst teams in the NHL.

The few people left on this site will be surprised at what comes back in trade for him, without retaining any salary.

I know the people here so far like the drafts Kyle has had, but there is so much more to being a G.M., and he is seriously failing at the big picture.

No, assclowns like you make me not want to come to this site anymore.

You are so proud of yourself for chasing away a blogger that gave a (frank) about it. You and your internet troll buddies should take a bow.

And you wonder why you aren't getting another writer for this site. It's because of jagoffs like you.

Yep seen that poll .That's not good at all . I think your right about Seth he a valuable asset , I fear KD will butcher the deal . Will end up retaining half and squat in return .

Fun game to watch. Nice showing against a Top team. In a long crappy season at least this year for the most part they haven't been hard to watch. Not a fan of the results but you can see the future will be bright. Special teams rank in the top 10. This years trade deadline and this summers UFA season is going to hopefully take this team to the next step and finally out of the basement.

And to all of us Hawks fans that post here be kind to each other. We all come here to talk hockey. Its a nice escape from a crazy arse world. No need to make it anything other then about hockey!

A fun game to watch , boys didn't give up .Couple non calls there when it was a 1 goal game ,could have made a difference . Great game from Nazar ,maybe the best game I have saw Murph play ever !! .Congratulations Ethan Del Mastro on the 1st goal ,beauty . Team played different after Soderblom entered the game ,gave then confidence in net .And believe Vagas took the foot off the pedal a bit ,give credit to the kids for not folding the tent . If I never see Brodie play another game in a HAWKS jersey ,it will not soon enough .
