Obviously AA's agent, Toews/Kane agent.
- rpeters01

Well Toews /Kane and Seth Jones agent is (was) Patrick Brisson, who has the most NHL players under contract.

Knight starting tonight (wearing #30).

Anders with the line blender out again.

Slaggert - Bedard - Nazar
TT - Donato - Mikheyev
Dach - AA - Bertuzzi
Maroon - Reichel - Smith

Vlasic - Crevier
Del Mastro - Murphy
Kaiser - Martinez

Sure... why not break up the kid line that generated so many chances the last game.

AA being 3C is stupid as well. I get they want to try and give Reichel a bit of a security blanket, but there is literally nothing to lose the rest of the year. Put him with anything other than boat anchors and see if he can grow into it. ...And I don't even really like Reichel anymore!!!

Knight was given the option to start and he wanted to jump right into it.

AA should be refilling the water bottles and that's about it.

I set my limit at female doging about one thing per day. Work is going pretty well, so I chose this.

I just like the Hawks and want to see progress. Putting the lines in a salad spinner after each game (including ones where some progress/momentum was made) I think is noteworthy to discuss.

Why is Slaggert getting so many top line minutes? He hasn't been good. If you are Reichel how is your confidence right now? You continue to be left on the 4th line. AA called up from Rockford and gets to center L3.

I'm ok with breaking up the kid line to get Bedard some help but I get your point completely. Play well and you might have new linemates. Play poorly and you might have new linemates. Play poorly and you might have the same linemates.

No consistency and no predictability. Both important things for young players, imo. They have enough to worry about

Slaggert gets pucks, goes to the net, and is full effort all the time. He needs to learn how to make sure he isn't skating himself out of plays and out of position defensively.

The goal with AA is to find a way for him to get hot for the next two games so another GM reaches at the deadline. Bedard was held pointless last game, so putting him on a third line could take the focus off AA, allowing him to put up something more noticeable. Let's revisit lineups after the deadline, when expiring contracts no longer have this spotlight on them.

Is it possible that Mrazek is still hurt and that is why he is playing so poorly? Groin injuries take a long time to heal.

Maybe, but he wasn't exactly good in 22/23 either. I mean, there is a reason he was a cap dump to the Hawks, 3 of his last 4 seasons weren't good. He was okay before his injury this year, but he wasn't as good as last year.

Edit: thinking on it more, maybe I'm being too harsh, he was okay in the first two months. I think the other factor at play right now, is to start the year the Hawks were very conservative defensively in front of him, things have opened up a bit more with the coaching change.

Here is his game log this season: https://www.espn.com/nhl/...log/_/id/5619/petr-mrazek

Soderblom's game log for comparison: https://www.espn.com/nhl/...d/4894729/arvid-soderblom

Would be interesting to see what happened with high danger chances and how both goalies were affected since the coaching change. Feb was not very kind to Mrazek aside from his one strong game against the Preds, but it wasn't very kind to Soderblom, either, aside from his one strong start against Utah. Both were over .900 in Jan.

Kirby Dach done for the season- leg surgery. Poor kid and his injuries.

Nazar and Hayes are the product of our trade w/ Montreal.

Any one heard anything about Bedard maybe overtraining?

Guys in the broadcast a couple games ago talked about how he went to AZ during the 4 nations tourney and skated/worked out every day nonstop.

I know he is 19 and has young legs but full NHL season of games is a lot. He seems to not have much jump lately. Perhaps he's hitting a wall?

Yeah, a few people have said/reported that. He was in AZ training with a couple other guys (I think Kent Johnson was one). He took some time to go to a basketball game or two. Considering how much extra time he takes after practices, I'm sure he is pushing a bit too much. He'll learn. He's gotta find what works best for him. Some guys want/need more away time others need to always be dialed in.

I’m hoping for a top three pick, gives KD an opportunity to choose from two of the top four, if they get the fourth pick, he’ll get the leftover of the top four.

Was beyond pumped when the trade was made and still feel that way. Have seen a lotta goalies come thru the USHL, and that includes all the NTDP goalies, and Spencer Knight was the best I've seen until Hrabal came along playing for Omaha.

This kid has been the real deal since seeing his as a 16/17 r old and he was mature beyond his yrs and was his technical game. His skating approaches being elite backed up with a technical efficiency followed by being very athletic when play breaks down to complete a package that has top 5/10 in the league ceiling. ...... The kid's approach/style is very Cary Price like. Robotic technical side with explosive skating and athleticism and a calming efficiency that keeps play around his crease clean and quiet.

Over the moon with this trade and in my mind after sleeping on it Knight jumps to being the best non-Bedard prospect in the organIzation. ..... Not hard at all to envision the kid as a top 5/10 goalie for 10 yrs and at 23 his window for hitting his ceiling is much sooner than later..... Top NTDP goalie, threw up a .930 ish SPG as a true freshman at BC, was the top goalie in the country for any international/WJC play in his age group winning a couple Golds. Then the good fortune to play NHL behind Bobrovsky on a cup contending then cup winning squad.

Love his developmental path. Still can't believe he's a Hawk........
