Time will tell on Rantanen. Didn't he win a cup in Colorado already? I have ZERO issues with these guys who are becoming UFAs driving their own bus. It's their right. Their call. Carolina's GM should have checked in to see on the likelyhood of extending him before jumping the shark. Now he has to recoop the package he sent the other way and will Carolina be better off in the long run?

Believe Rantanen told LA no....so guy had an idea of where he wanted to go.

'26 first for TT.

I think part of the deal here with Mikko Rantanen is the tax advantage again. They can sign him for a good deal without state tax.

He’s a very similar player to Nazar in stature and in his game. He’s non stop , hard on the forecheck, hard on the puck, a very good line driver. He plays bigger.

Not great if you ask me. Stankoven is pretty meh and 5’8 center. Two late first rounders and trade fodder. If I’m Carolina I’m kicking myself for giving up Necas/Drury for that return. Nill played this the right way and Carolina did not.

Man I miss Hossa. We got so lucky with him and the fact we were allowed to sign him to that contract. Hawks wouldn't have won a cup without him.
