I think its starts with the Hawks 1st. I would prefer this year's. I would give em both Tor and Fla's 1st. And KK . I think that gets it close.
- Elbows15

Three firsts and KK, for a guy a guy who may or may not be productive when the Hawks are in a position to compete?

Do you think Boston would want Korbustsky if he’s such an obvious bust?

TODAY'S TANKATHON

Yes it's a bummer to be reminded every day that CHI is drafting top 5 for the third year in a row. But sometimes these results are interesting.

BOS jumps 8 spots to #1. PIT to #2. CHI at #4.

9 Boston
6 Pittsburgh
1 San Jose
2 Chicago
3 Buffalo
4 Nashville
5 Seattle
7 Philadelphia
8 Anaheim
10 NY Islanders
11 Utah
12 Montreal
13 Detroit
14 St. Louis
15 NY Rangers (to PIT)
16 Vancouver

Would you do the following trade?

To BOS:
2025 1st (CHI, #4)
2026 1st (FLA, top 2 protected)
K. Korchinski

To CHI:
D. Pastrnak
M. Poitras

BOS goes full rebuild with 2 top 5 picks this year. CHI gets Pastrnak to help Bedard and another young prospect.

- totem

I would, but I think that's the package for Pastrnak alone.

In a heart beat. Don't even need Poitras and I would add Allan, too.

You know i always compare the rebuilds, big day, really week for Poles.

Not saving any of that cap space.

Makes the upcoming draft very flexible, can really take bpa at all 3 first picks, even can trade down, and fill gaps.

I wouldn't, but think Jeanty is in play now.

They are staying 12/6

D!ckinson is back in.... on Bedard's wing.

Dach - Bedard - D!ckinson
TT - Donato - Mikheyev
Slaggert - Nazar - Foligno
Bert - Veleno - Reichel

Vlasic-Kaiser
EDM - Murphy
Marinez - Levshunov

Knight

When is KD going to come down from the office and yell at his interim coach for the ongoing asinine lineup decisions? Nazar and Bedard looked good together last game so it makes sense to split them up.

Bedard with a rookie and a guy fresh off injury who after a career year last year (and getting paid) looked more like his old self this year than his career year (surprise surprise).

McKinnon line is going to eat them. I don't expect that line to generate any sustained Ozone pressure.

Would be one of the worst trades in franchise history. Just wait till next offseason and sign a FA, the guy up north known as the Thrill pretty good.

3 firsts, two of which are top 10, for Pasta? No.

So when does your crystal ball say when the Hawks will be competitive?

I can guarantee he will be more productive than KK. Two late first and one who will won't be as good as Pasta in 4 years.

Ina fuucking heartbeat.

Same crystal ball you use to determine a 20 year old is a bust I guess?

Realistically the team is at least three years away from being filled out with the prospects, assuming many make it. The goalies are in place. The defense looks to be in very good condition and may be two years away from being a very strong defensive unit. The forwards are a ways off but let’s say everything is in place in three years. Add a year or two to let them grow and gell and we’re talking five or six years.

I look at three firsts and a prospect for a very good 29 year old player who will be in his mid 30s when he is needed to be a huge risk. If Boisvert, Vanacker, Lardis, Moore, and a couple other younger players were on the team this season I think my opinion would be different. It’s all about risk analysis.

No KK was #7, our 1st this year (#4), plus Fla's first next year. Lawyer by day not a mathlete but that seems so add up to 2 top 10 1sts and prob high 20s.

Well something tells me the Panthers knew this was coming. It is why they gave up so much for Jones. Good on KD for taking advantage of the situation (doubt he knew what was going on) but that trade seems to be pure luck for the Hawks front office.

Draft picks lose value like a car. Especially one who has shown nothing two years after being drafted.

I doubt Sweeney would take him but never underestimate the stupidity of GMs.

I've been interested in MN since they bought out Suter and Parise. I never understood the logic there. They've had a pretty damn good team there for the last 2-3 years and have been hamstrung by cap space issues.

They added Nyquist and Brazeau, after trading earlier in the year for Jiricek. They have Kaprizov to sign (after they convince him they are what he wants). Everyone seems to thing Guerin is doing this great job because he had the stomach to buy out two big guys, but you basically put your team in handcuffs until the cap hit s come off the books. Regardless of cap hit, they could just bury both guys down the lineup and/or trade them to some team with minimal impact. You're basically wasting some prime years of KK and Boldy (and now Rossi) because as Guerin said "it's not our time". If I'm a player on that team, I'm kinda pissed.

If were throwing all this at Pastrnak, why not see if we can dislodge B. Tkachuk from Ottawa??? Would rather have him anyway. But would Ottawa be selling? I can dream, can't I?
