I think a couple of firsts and a prospect for Brady Tkachuk would be a better than trading for Pasta.

Not me trade a top 4, 18 year old for a 28 year old according to the numbers will begin declining at 32 years old, this is something Buffalo would do

This isn't NHL 25

You know i always compare the rebuilds, big day, really week for Poles.

Not saving any of that cap space.

Makes the upcoming draft very flexible, can really take bpa at all 3 first picks, even can trade down, and fill gaps.

I wouldn't, but think Jeanty is in play now.

Yea i have to admit I'm very pleased with the trades and signings.

I'm also very very very pleased i finally won't have to watch a bend but don't break defense anymore, what's it been 39 years

If KD gets a top 4 pick he ain't trading it for some 29 year old player. No matter what the smarter people on here think.

Well, Brady Tkachuk is only 25 and thanks for the hot tip on NHL 25.

Id be fine with Brady but i really wouldn't make a move for a soon too be 29 year old unless he wanted out of somewhere and i could give up a late first for them and some other garbage.

I’m watching the Edmonton Buffalo game. The entire Brantford team is at the game and Nick Lardis is being interviewed between periods. Man without his equipment he’s a very slight guy.

Sometime soon you've got to get someone to play with Bedard. I know you'd like someone younger, but I think we're closer to really turning the corner and Tkachuk would fit right in. Unfortunately, he won't be cheap.

I understand hockey orgs eventually go this route because they don't aggressively accumulate high end draft picks to draft enough blue chip players. The Blackhawks have and are doing it, so eventually you are correct if the Blackhawks miss on a bunch of picks. Again what if Martone is a Tkachuk clone? Id rather have a 18 year old Tkachuk clone instead a 25 year old one.

KFC is doing the rebuild properly. Build from the back end. He has the goaltending, he has a good defensive crew with a few more coming. Next is the forwards.

I would really like a 22, 23 year old top 6 forward but they don't grow on trees. Id also be fine with them signing Boeser and Bennet to 5 year deals

Yeah, but not his fault, that’s not his game. Need KK or/and Arty running the power play next year.

Rather sign old guys as free agents instead of trading away 4 first round picks for what Pastrnak was

EDM, and Kaiser are both better options if they didn’t want to go straight to Lev on PP1. Vlasic is way too timid. Broken record, but he needs to get back to being a monster on Defense.

Rather see him out there than Jones.

It so nice.

I’ve said the same in the past, and by the time the young D have 150-200 games of experience, more young forwards will be trickling in. Guys like Vanacker, Boisvert, Moore, and 2025/26 pick(s), and so on. Just need a bit more time, and a trade and/or free agent signing. But to your point, the Knight acquisition is now a whole different ballgame.

He’s not wrong…not that you are. Just nice to see 6, ok 5 guys with Martinez taking another puck to the face, play pertty solid defense and all look like they give a frank and want to be there…just sayin’.
