It is my understanding the Blackhawks lost last night.

I’ll take the 1 or the 2, then the Hawks get either Schaefer or Misa.

Can't wait for the college season to come to an end so i could watch some shiny new pieces in Chicago or Rockford.

Feel bad for them going into that dogpoop of a locker room though

The refs don’t want to listen to his whining. Bedard has to keep his head down, his mouth shut and just play. Crosby learned it, Bedard will too.

Nazar already learned it.

Hey, on the bright side, Bedard scored on a one-timer for Dots.

It was a nice shot but the swing was easy it wasn't a slap shot

It was like a 50 yard pitch shot

I am picky, but I'll say if he can be consistent with that shot(accuracy) he will score a ton of goals.

What i believe to be picky is Nazar in his own zone for a string of games, i see once a game, can't handle a pass on his back hand, unforced error, and they are trapped in their own zone forever more.

You can pretty much say that about all the players on this team. I think the moment Nazar understands exactly what he can and can't get away with at this level, he's going to explode.

Not trying to dig you too much here Dots, but for a guy who preaches patience so much, you seem to nag on specific details a lot (Bedard's slapper, Nazar can't handle a backhand pass, etc). You're well within your right to do so, and not really wrong, but it's an odd dichotomy to read.

Have a great weekend everyone!

A good amount of general platitudes, but a cool interview with Bedard.

According to NHL Public Relations, Brandon Hagel has set a single-season NHL record by scoring 32 goals before getting his first power-play goal. Former Winnipeg Jets forward Doug Smail previously held the record with 31 goals before getting a power-play tally, which was back during the 1984-85 season.

Scoring 32 goals before getting a power-play one is impressive. It shows just how well Hagel is able to produce offense during five-on-five play. He also has a career-high three shorthanded goals this season for good measure.

Who cares? Some guy names Hossa scored a lot of goals using a little half/quarter slapper. The puck exploded off Bedard's stick on that goal.

I just think Nazar goes too fast for his hands sometimes. If he can adjust he will be really good. If he can't still going to be a really solid middle 6 guy. When he is playing his game he's a tenacious puck hound.

Anyone who knows about skating know why Bedard seems to loose an edge regularly? And is so easy to knock over? I know he's 19 but it seems to happen to easily, even for a 19 year old.

It's like he's some 6'6' kid with a high center of gravity. Gets bumped and it throws him off.

He’s 19, go back and watch Crosby at 19 he was constantly on his ass. Crosby made it worse by whining all the time, something Bedard is doing too. Crosby got stronger, was able to stay on his feet better and stopped whining, Bedard will too.

Amonte was the same way, the difference is that Nazar is still young, and he plays more defense in a week than Amonte did in his career.

#16 and #17 both need to be on the fourth line.
