I like Nelson, I also like Sullivan if Dubas fires him.

Ruuttu is another assistant who has paid his dues. He might get an interview.

Maybe they want to give Lev one more practice with the big team before sending him to RFD. RFD doesn't play until tomorrow.

If they want to burn the year, so be it. All things considered, you can make a good argument his play warrants staying with the big boys.

- Elbows15

I really don't think the "burning a year" angle is of any real consequence. If they burn a year, there is less of a body of work in which to base the next contract on --> theoretically lower number. Otherwise, they have an extra year of control. Either way, no big deal.

A GM isn't doing their job if its not part of the equation in a hard cap league. If burning a year is something they believe is best for his long term development, so be it.

His development should be the overriding factor in the decision, imo.

100% agreed. Ryan Greene looked good today while BU put up an 8 spot. Excited to see him in the Hawks organization soon. Hopefully a center you can throw out against other top centers that can produce some too.

KD has said numerous times "burning a year" is not significant in his mind.

What a disappointment for Minn. vs U-Mass. There was an obvious trip by U-Mass. just before the winning goal was scored and the Ref looked the other way. That was the third non-call for U-Mass for the game. Rinzel looked really good. He played Seth Jones minutes tonight and has a tendency to go to the net in the o-zone. Ollie Moore was very good at the face-off dot and he can really fly down the ice. Had an assist on Snuggeroods tying goal. So do the Hawks sign Moore and Rinzel?"

I rail on others for bringing anything political here, so i'm not going to go back and forth, I was kicking myself for even responding to Paul this morning.

You have your opinion, you are entitled to it, and i respect that. I'll just add that i'm in the confedercy now, and wouldn't have it any other way. Do business around some areas with big automotive plants and the workers don't seem to be suffering at all in fact, the most booming places in the US and the fastest growing areas also.

VBear, in the context of possible cap implications of the tariffs I wanted to make sure folks know that the brains behind the operation lost the equivalent of 418 million bucks left to him by his Pops and followed that up by filing for bankruptcy 6 times.

VBear, and I think you know this, pointing out trump squandered 418 mil and filed bankruptcy 6 times is not an opinion or is it political, it's a simple fact that can be found on any search engine of one's choice.

I could reply to every point of your post but will give you the courtesy of not doing so respecting your wishes not to talk politics. .......

Was, and am, pumped for the Saginaw v Erie series. Too damn bad no Schaefer to go head to head with Misa but we get to see Misiak, Misa, Spence and the Hawk's Henry...... Enjoyed the 1st then Erie, after getting thoroughly out played, exploded for 5 goals in 5 minutes.

I've thought this all yr but it's really pronounced now late in the yr, but Misiak has jump he never had. He was close to being a forward lean, over the puck, responsible almost plodding type when they drafted him outa Youngstown. ..... I still liked him a bit cuz I watched him accept a role his draft yr with Cup champ Youngstown. Kid was mature, responsible and took big minutes and matchups with offense an after thought.

I have little doubt he's worked on his explosion and you can see it. Combined with his coaches dream style, mature game and his physicality at 6ft 2in 200lb size he just might be an interesting player in 3-4 yrs.

Spence looked good.

Greedily…same. But if they think Moore going back to Minny for a year is better for his development I’m fine with that. Not sure if Rinzel has anything left to prove at the college level. Hopefully Greene signs too whenever BU’s season ends.

Servelli commented online that Rinzel would play games in Chicago this year. Someone basically told him he was nuts, he bet him a $1000 that Rinzel would be in Chicago.

Me thinks he knows something

I'm seen a few people speculate (huge grain of salt) that Moore is going to go pro, but less "certain" than Frank is about Rinzel. I think the influx of college players are going to make the Hawks possibly look into a draft day deal or two.

I have a relative who met Moore last summer, believe he told them that his intention at that time was to play one more year and go pro

My personal guess is that he was going to play one more year. I don't think there is really a wrong choice, whatever he decides. I think he can handle it either way and he will be worth the wait as a likely middle 6 guy for us in the future.

Hope Moore goes back for another year. Think it’d be great for his development to be a primary forward as an upperclassman team leader with all their big boys going pro.

Lou, I don't know nearly enough to be very close on anything outside of maybe the fist 15ish to go but it seems Spence kinda fell from early season mocks of him going 15-18 or so. ....... Could be cuz he ain't racking up points but even assuming he scores 35ish in the Bigs he checks a lotta boxes and would be useful.

Kid has the size, pretty good pace/skating, motor and hunger that is a decent foundation. ...... Hoping to catch a lot of him and this series so I'll have a better feel but I like the kid and always did. I'd have to guess he's gone by the Hawks turn at 25.

Bedard back at center?

Nazer and Bedard split up again?

Cant wait until the Mannequin is relieved of his duties.

The only positive is Levshunov at the point on PP1 and Korchinski on PP2. That I like, let Vlasic focus on defense and shutting down the opposition.

Bedard has definitely had some struggles this season. Its part of the progression. He, and everyone else, have different line mates every game. Bedard reaching 60 points on this team is a miracle.
