On the point about Boisvert transferring.

Be interesting to see what he is offered in NIL money to play at a BC or BU, schools with lots of money.

I brought this subject up a year or two ago, though it was about Canadians playing in the NCAA because of the money they could make vs. playing in the CHL leagues.

Basketball guys at BYU are getting 7 mil per year this upcoming year.

Morez Johnson leaving the Illini cause he got a 2 mil offer.

Crazy money being thrown around, just a matter of time before it creeps into NCAA hockey also.

Murph will be handing out gold stickers on the bench.

Too busy handing out pizzas on the ice. He looks like the worst Dmen on the ice so far. And your boy KK is playing too.

A couple giveaways can be forgiven with how well Murph has been playing lately. The young d skating and moving the puck is a nice change. Feels like Utah has barely had the puck.

Bertuzzi will probably prove me wrong by getting a goal, but honestly, I don't know why he is on the PP1 unit. He has been so useless for the last several weeks.

I don’t like Lev on the PP right now unless they change the entry. He’s just not good at the drop pass yet.

Bertuzzi and Maroon on PP is a joke.

Also don’t like Mikheyev with Bedard his hockey IQ just isn’t on the same level.

He’s been good as of late. Man Rinzel can skate for a big guy. Smooth.

He showed some good instinct to jump up and get that scoring chance early too. Reminds me of Seabrook that way, with the sneaky move right into the slot.

Ya Seabs Peitrangelo vibes. Very calm and smooth. If he’s 2/3 of one of those two Hawks will be in good shape. Youth on D in this game. All look solid.

If I'm Thompson, I'm seeing a very short route to NHL minutes in Chicago.
- 35Tony0

No surprise he might wait and see what his options are next year. He is an older prospect, and there aren't many spots. James may be reconsidering as well. Guttman has had a really good year at ROC but has totally disappeared as far as another NHL shot.

The potential forward logjam at ROC next year might sort itself out. It's would be bad to lose some guys without seeing how they develop, but that's the price of having so many prospects.

I think Maroon passed on on that guy- and won that one by the assistance of gravity and falling on top of the other guy - who seems to have passed out. . . reminded me of Probert/Domi -- ok maybe no so much.

Personally I wish they'd just call DoG penalties on those ...stop wasting time. Also ---stop calling non-fights as fights. It soccorises the game.

Meanwhile...

On Seth-watch- dude scored a goal for the Panthers- but was on the ice for all 4 goals against (2 of which were Mtl PP goals, and another was an empty netter).

It's kinda fun to watch the visualizer to get another perspective of what looks like floundering out there- then cuing up the actually video ... yep -- it actually looked like the dots made it seem ... I'm really a fan of his overpursuit on the box where he ends up in the forward spot on the box - leaving everyone out there sort of all over the place - then the next thing you know ... flashing read light -and Bob sprawled all over the place.

And double meanwhile ... Vlas skating on one leg -doing his Roszival impression. Since he's still able to be out there- feels like he's gutting out an MCL thing. It really seemed to be impeding his mobility.

Curious what you mean by this, rpete. Are you disappointed in Moore as a player?
- Mr Ricochet

It was in response to people being disappointed in his college career. I don't for a minute think we will know what he is for several years.

Terrible pass by Vlas - who hasn't worked out he's dinged up yet. He's got to play far more conservatively with even just a little off his mobility.

Won't be long before that Bertuzzi contract is a boat anchor, I can't skate anymore, but i still think i could stay on my feet longer than he can

Brantford 0-0 with NB in the second. Lardis nice play got back on a rush and took the puck away preventing a goal. So he can do that kind of thing.

Enjoy, Paul. No small thing to see a Major Junior playoff game live and of course the league gives you NHL to be players all over the ice...... Love to read your thoughts on Martone after the game. IIRC Brampton came in on a 12-2 kind of run, so they're playing good hockey.
- Mr Ricochet

Martone is a big unit, a north south player, he’s a strong skater, not exceptionally fast, average edges really good balance. He battles everywhere and always goes straight to the net. He’s always jabbing, slashing, punching guys during play and after the whistle. Third time I’ve seen him live this year. He’ll make the NHL because he’s huge and he’s physical and does have some skill but I’m not sure about his ceiling.

The guy I left the game really impressed with was Brampton’s goalie Jack Ivankovic. He’s not tall, but extremely athletic, excellent on his feet, he moves side to side and in and out of his crease effortlessly. After a save he’s always ready for subsequent shots. He covers his angles really well and he baits players by keeping his glove low only to snag a shot directed to the top corner. Or he gives them the five hole only to close it when a Gens player shoots. I’ve never really paid attention to him before. He’s ranked to go mid second round. I wonder how many teams will be reluctant to draft him because of his height?
