Right on to the bolded and my honest apologies for dragging the blog through my unrestrainable euphoric fever dreams. I'm so giddy and have waited for decades for this possibility I lose control of myself.
I missed the 1st and 2nd periods and am watching a replay from the 10 minute mark of the 2nd. What's up with Moore? Kid is making skill plays all over the place. Rinzel is showing as much or more poise than Vlasic who is probably better than we all realize. It might be years before I understand Knight is a Hawk. In the 15 yrs following the USHL he's the 2nd best ever goalie prospect on my board. Who had Del Mastro playing legit NHL hockey this soon, if ever? I planted my flag on Kaiser his first NHL game cuz I saw his first USHL game. Kid Just. Makes. Plays. And always has. Period. .... I doubt we realize how interesting 6ft 8in Crevier is to the NHL types. You gonna bet on Nazar as a 24, 26, 29 yr old after what he's shown so far? How many breakaways and odd mans does his speed and reads allow him a game with only 21 NHL games under his belt. He ever play soft or scared or stick wave forecheck? ... As great as Rinzel has looked Artie is more powerful in every aspect of the game. They're finally allowing KK to develop properly. Yea, most. if not all will say enough of Reichel. But he's 22 yrs old, had 10 game stretches of solid to good NHL hockey as a 20-21 yr old. The kid's skills still have me interested to see how he'll play under a new coach. I watched Smaltz play USHL perimeter soft USHL hockey for 2 yrs and when they drafted him immediately posted noooooo. How's he look today? Might the same thing happen with Reichel under a new coach with a slightly NHL seasoned Nazar, Misa, Moore, a FA or two, a trade or two, maybe Greene with Kantserov, Boisvert, Vanacher, Lardis on the way with 2 1st rd picks and 2-3 2nd rd picks this yr and next as the next wave? Didn't the Dman they got from UT just win SHL Dman of the yr???
And those hype machine idiots last yr saying Bedard's generational, look at that Michigan he pulled off as he played the worst hockey without the puck that models have ever seen going back to 2006.
Then this yr the kid playing center, which is complete malfeasance, and with new linemates every other game, is obvious to a novice he's trying to learn 2 way hockey, to be a hockey player, which he never ever ever has done, at the cost of points and the same goof idiots make a stand saying WTF!! ,,,, The WTF should have been said last yr not this.
And in what world do you make a 30 yr old a first time GM with his overseer being Danny Boy Wirtz??????????????? ..... Well, how's KD done stockpiling picks and the scouting done as we watch their prospects hit the NHL with 2 more waves on the way?
Yea, let's talk some hockey. - Mr Ricochet
You know Rico I think this rebuild is going fantastic. I enjoy the theory of a true gut rebuild but almost every team owner is terrified to do it. The one thing that weighed in the back of my mind was/is, what if he misses and misses bad on the 1st round draft picks?
I like what i see so far from all the 1st round picks, they all possess a quality that I'd expect is skill. Another trait is speed. As with kids they all have things to work on.
I still think with that one move of trading S Jones for Knight and a 1st makes him GM of the year.

My concern about Moore was whether he has the hands and scoring to be an impact guy at the NHL level.
Looked solid last night. I hope it continues.
Going to be growing pains with Lev but he’s got all the tools in the toolkit and I love the emotion I see from him. You can tell when he knows he made a mistake. That’s a kid that can lead by example who holds himself to a high standard.
The hawks have stock piled some real nice prospects on D. Wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing some real positive things as far as development next year.
The size and skating on D with skill could really develop into something special. |

I’ll add that Rinzel Lev and Vlasic when they get into their mid 20s and are playing meaningful hockey have the ability to really put some hurt on opposing forwards. Big bodies that are just learning the ways of the NHL.
Rinzel looks like a forward with the puck. It’s effortless and he’s a big dude. Also the confidence he has with the puck. I’m excited. |

And they just signed this guy to an ELC, hahaha, it seems they draft an attribute you can't teach in the 3rd round be it size, speed or both.

If so where can you buy stocks on Saturday?
Be a fool to buy them now, let the market tank, he's not done yet, the interest rate is still too high for his buddies for business loans. |

It's been about 20 yrs, maybe just 15, since my last tasty Blue Moon. If watching The Phenom "play hockey" last yr didn't send me to the liquor store I think I'm safe.
That's my way of saying no but man I'm damn giddy since the confederecy got Trumpanzee in office. He's my dream, the absolute all encompassing messiah cancer I've dreamed of that will get NY, IL and the 6th largest economy on EARTH, lib CA, to stop paying federal tax and starve parasitic AlabamaStan, MississippiStan, LouisianaStan and their neighbors. - Mr Ricochet

I can't imagine after seeing a glimpse of some of these picks, anyone could be disappointed in the GM or the rebuild.
Only the ones who thought it was a 3 year plan, or thought when they got Bedard the rebuild was complete.
Right now, just watching the last few games, you'd say that Bedard isn't light years ahead of any of the young guys coming up, maybe not even as good right now.
And you know what, that's great news. I'm not worried about Bedard, but Nazar has really improved to where other than finishing break aways, he might be best all around player on the team right now. Moore was all over the ice, how can you not like and be impressed with that guy, been waiting for one of him for quite a while now.
I was super excited after watching Rinzel win the World Jrs, he just stood out to the naked eye on the ice with world class players.
Seeing the weight he put on last summer at rookie camp, he looked completely different person, and to see he hasn't lost any of his skating ability while doing it makes it even better, and possible he'll add another 15 to 20 lbs of muscle over the next two or three years.
If we are talking GM'ing, Rinzel is here for taking on Mrazek's contract??? I don't know, but if that greatest GM to ever bless the planet in Detroit made that trade, there would already be 17 monuments to him under construction right now.
GM has to hire the right coach as his most important next move. That's what the team is missing. I didn't hate LR like many here, wonder how he would have done with the team the Hawks will have on the ice in two years |

So what kind of coach should KD hire? One that has won with kids but has no pro playing or coaching experience (Carle), one that has won as a pro coach but not in the NHL (Nelson), stay with the organizational hire ( Sorenson) or someone who has NHL coaching experience (Sullivan if available, Claude Julien, Gerard Gallant for example) - LAHawk
Whomever they hire should get fired ala Renteria next season and then hire Cooper 5x$10M. |

And to me what stands out more than anything else is and i appreciate is, the concept of all our eggs in one draft pick was altered by KDs willingness to blow it all up. Ruffled a lot of feathers but even if Elbows is right, i don't think he is i believe KK needs to still get stronger, as you mentioned we have a Nazar, Rinzel, then Arty, Moore, in the weeds EDM, Allan and i can go on.
Many are excited about Greene coming over and he hasn't even finished his college career.
Would it be something if the Blackhawks have one of the best draft rooms in the league, i have to admit someone figured something out about what an NHL defenseman looks like in the draft room, since they went from zero to so many look the part already.

TBH, I’d much rather see LR driving the bus with these young defensemen than Sorensen. Can’t wait for Rinzel and Vlasic to put on 10-15 lbs. |

I know it’s kinda boring to keep harping on a guy who isn’t here anymore, but man, Seth is struggling right now. Turnover in the corner leads quickly to a goal against.
I never thought he was really bad, but maybe playing in Chicago just messed him up. |

Or some countries negotiate. Or tax cuts get rolling toward passing, or interest rates drop.........
In the publicshere people talking like every other country has the leverage in these moves, couldn't be further from the truth.
Lets see what happens
