Can't wait for this upcoming draft since we are guaranteed a top 4 pick, next season our shiny new dmen start getting their minutes and get experience, the forwards are going to start making their way to the NHL, this is going to be great.

So you're saying Waite had zero influence on Soda, you really are grasping at straws, i forget it's all our nothing for you

Every year i hear you guys blather on about how our goalie situation sucks and remarkably a goalie steps up and has a good season. I don't buy that it's luck i believe there's some coaching involved here

Also let me know the last time the Blackhawks had a top prospect goalie in the pipeline? Commesso and then................... Crawford

The goaltending has been so great, why are they close to the bottom in goaltending stats? Knight ranked 29th, Soderblom 65th, and Mrazek 95th per Money Puck.

Anyways you asserted that Waite is the best in the NH:L, which is laughable He is good but not #1. When he develops a top tier goalie, then we can have that discussion.

Ders system, which is laughable given the roster's strengths and weaknesses. When has Waites had a top tier goalie prospect to work with?

And he hasn't developed one either, so how could he be the best goalie coach in the NHL as Dots exclaimed?

No Soderblom, he said he went back to Sweden and worked on what worked for him before. Mrazek? He was the same goalie he was before.

Last goalie the Hawks developed was Crawford, and that was his brother Stephane.

Mrazek has given Waite credit for his resurgence, and for the current contract. The Hawks picked him up from Toronto along with the sweetener. Definitely not at his peak then. He was at a make or break point in his career when he came here.

I agree, even looking at the gming on this deal, trade your 2nd for Mrazek and Rinzel, Mrazek under Waite and the trainers are able to develop a regimen that keeps him healthy and makes him find his groove again, then trades him to Detroit because of the great deal he made to get Seth Jones out of town, and it didn't cost him anything and we got a hockey player in return.

GM of the year, hands down
All he's done is make deals that are helping build this team.

Say you, Googe Frnacois Allaire, Bob Essensa, Mitch Korn to name 3 and compare bodies of work.

His brother Stephaine was the goaltending coach then, Jimmy Waite's first season was 2014.

I said he was a good coach, but he isn't the best goalie coach in the NHL, only in Dot's mind.

Good read on how the Rangers accelerated their rebuild and ultimately failed on their long term plans. In my opinion, building an offense quickly(Panarin) and having a patched up defense is never a good strategy for long term success. I’m not sure how the Hawks rebuild will turn out, however rebuilding from the backend up like KD has done would be my plan of action as well.

Same song out of the Hawks locker room by the coach & some vets. "As a team that’s young and inexperienced, the more the simple you play, you create more offense." Same message for years...Who would be the player that now violates the "let's keep it simple" rule the most?

- LAHawk

They are trying to get Artie Lesch to save "the out of the stall and over the corral wall" play at this development stage.
The frustrating part for me all night when he had that open slot shot, and chose to pass in a place where he could have scored.

That would be my big guess.

Coach has giving him the designated rover golden ticket, and maybe the room just took it away from him.

That’s too bad about Kaiser and Murphy, but I have to admit that I like EDM paired up with an offensive minded defenseman, same with Murphy. I wonder how many minutes that third pair gets, and if Vlasic gets an A tonight.

Yikes, KK and El Girafe better be on limited minutes together. EDM/Lev were paired in Rockford for a stretch so there's likely some familiarity there.

He can suck his thumb in the press box I think he's finished for this season and probably his last game as a Hawk. He's never seemed to accept what he needs to do.

Never seen a GM get it for a rebuild.
